2023 has been a bad year for me in terms of hobby and collecting. Between 2017 and 2022 my purchases were 25-38 models per year, but last year 2023, with the new family member and launching my new professional project, I only bough 11 models. By the way, this is my 2023 top3: 1-1960 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Serie 2 by Matrix 2-1955 Lincoln Capri Convertible by GLM 3-1980 Jeep Cherokee SJ Chief by Matrix Number 3 is has been a little hard decision as the 1966 Kess Ferrari 365 California was also a hard contender, but finally I decided for the Jeep... Cheers

Some interesting models here. Of course, I also had a look at my acquisitions from last year. Hard to pick the favourites. But I chose models that are not shown in this subject yet. 1. Fiat X1/9 Bertone, Schuco Pro.R, my favourite from lat year, from the moment I got it. 2. Rover SD1, Matrix. The model looks great, and depicts one of my icons from my youth. 3. Citron BX TZD, Milezim. I had several options for the number 3 spot. But I opted for this BX. The model is by far the best BX in 1:43 I've got. Milezim is a brand made by Spark, with Spark quality. Interesting range of french classics. Major downside of the brand: availability.

Thanks for the reminder. Schuco X1/9 was elusive and probably still is!

Nice trio there Marcel. I only share the Fiat but the other 2 are very nice. By the way, are you going to get any of the new Matrix Lagondas? They're limited to just 100 of each colour and are selling fast!

They're limited to just 100 of each colour and are selling fast! Thanks! I noticed about a month ago they were only going to make a 100 of each colour Lagonda. I really don't understand... The Minichamps Lagonda is a rare find these days, and so are the S4s from GLM. So I think they would have easily sold more of them than this small number. Of course, there were only prototype images until recently, and none of the red one. So I decided to pre-order all 3 of them and just wait and see which one I like most. With such small numbers I will probably be able to sell the ones I don't want to keep. They are on their way to me at the moment. I will post pictures of the trio...

Well, they're supposed to be limited but as Matrix are now in the habit of re-releasing models that were originally sold as limited editions who knows how many will be made?

That's the new fashion from them, the Ferrari 456 sedans were also issued by 100 pcs of each colour (x3). Wonder if they plan to release additional colours (applicable to most of these cars).

Only three, eh? I've just spent a few hours browsing the 156 pages of my thread that cover 2023, and I can’t choose. Today it's these, might be completely different tomorrow GFCC -Jaguar SS Airline, because it offers such incredible VFM Matrix - Ferrari 250 GTE, I expected quality but was blown away by what it looks like in this colour MK Miniatures - Toyota Landcruiser, I knew nothing of this maker and the model was a huge surprise I could easily do a top 20 and still have nothing but gems... The 250 GTE is gorgeous!

It’s that time of year, again! So, it’s time to tell us what were your best three new acquisitions of 2023. So, here are mine, in alphabetical order. I had a particularly hard time choosing my top three because, I can safely say that this year I’ve added some of the nicest looking models in my collection! 1932 Bentley 8 litre Close Couple Saloon -by Mayfair- (Matrix)1938 Delage D8/120 S -by Pourtout- (Matrix)1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Sedanca de Ville -by Freestone & Webb- (GLM)Fine stuff, Julio. The Delage is a beauty!
