I have that Vette too. When you get bored of the yellow, just repaint it red and tell everyone it's a Ferrari!

And in classic Corvette yellow and black! I have a civilian C8 and could see me adding this at some point. Excellent model Scott! Thanks Tom, I have to get back to some races so I can get some of the newer ones signed. I have fallen waaay behind since the pandemic. I've been especially lucky in getting Corvettes signed but have a lot of work to do.
Looks kind of nice dressed as a race car! I've always thought so amigo. Now thats an addition i can get behind especially at clearance. Very nice indeed and as you note a great performance on its debut I am awaiting the production of the 2023 LeMans car as it won its class and it was the centenary of the Quatre Vingt Heurs and of course Louis Chevrolet was a racer boy.
Another bargain, I like your style! I would have bought it too, nothing to do with the fact that I like Chevys, no sirree. Looks good in yellow and black. Style, I have style? I had no idea. I hope to do a better job of organizing my collection here as at the old place it was a dogs breakfast at best. Do have a soft spot for the Corvettes tho. Hard to imagine that Vette not being in your collection. I asked myself why I didn't already have it and then It sat in a box for ages before I have started posting again.
Black and yellow seem to always work on a Corvette - almost to the point of them being the 'national colors'? Congrats on the bargain addition, but you would never know it. I have to agree Brooks, they look a bit funny in other colours but maybe its just me... It's a good looking vehicle for sure, although I do miss the old front-engined Corvette days. These new ones do look a bit like many of the other mid-engined offerings. AS a bargain offering, how could you refuse. I agree Martin, I still need to find a 1:18 C7R. Vettes represent the entirety of my 1:18 collection. Gets my seal of approval. I take that as high praise!
Cheers
I have that Vette too. When you get bored of the yellow, just repaint it red and tell everyone it's a Ferrari! True enough Ian. As Martin said, the C8R's despite their successes, do tend to look a lot like everybody else now...

And so next in the bin of long ago but never seen, I bring a one off from Rebellion Racing. IMG_5732 by Scott Bowyer, on Flickr This is an Oreca Chassis @23 that was raced at Daytona in 2017 by Rebellion. They finished in 31st position ,but as in all 24 hour races finishing is kind of a big deal all by itself. I've always had a soft spot for Rebellion Racing, still do!

That’s a pretty wild looking livery!

Same, Rebellion always gets my attention too. As a variation on the common white/grey/black/red livery in endurance racing, this looks a lot better than most.

The livery reminds me of the dazzle camouflage used on ships in WW1 for a while. I agree that just finishing a 24H race is a big deal, quite a few have failed in the dying moments of the race. Heartbreak ensues.

That’s a pretty wild looking livery! And get ready for one more dose. They went with that style for the last while before closing up shop. Same, Rebellion always gets my attention too. As a variation on the common white/grey/black/red livery in endurance racing, this looks a lot better than most. I kind of like it but I liked their paint from 2012 the best. Plus I got to photograph it with Ward in Georgia that year so I am a bit biased... The livery reminds me of the dazzle camouflage used on ships in WW1 for a while. I agree that just finishing a 24H race is a big deal, quite a few have failed in the dying moments of the race. Heartbreak ensues. True story. It looks a bit like a frigate that my uncle served on during WW2. You're pretty perceptive!!
And now fro something completely the same. Rebellion Racing R13 2nd overall Le Mans 2020
If you hated the last livery, you'll hate this one too. This represents the pinnacle of Rebellions LeMans efforts. I thought they had a better than even chance in 2020 but
that is why they run the races... Still 2nd after 24 hours is pretty special. This was a had to have model.

No need to seek therapy about adding both Scott - you are amongst (equally crazy) friends here!

Second is an excellent result, having been to the LM 24H in 1983,84 & 86 I can say for certain that the race is tough. Nice model to go with the other car.

Like others, I have a soft spot for Rebellion Racing and they feature strongly in my collection. Never knew they did the Daytona car though and that must be quite a rare piece these days. Love it.

Great Scott.....a couple of excellent adds there. As a very big Rebellion fan - took it upon myself to collect all of the LM cars - the Daytona car looks very tempting.
