Those of you who used to frequent the old Scale 143 Forum will recall that my main hobby is full-size cars. For the last several years I have been running a 1931 Austin Seven and a 1953 Lancia Appia; although the desire for something different was there, I had almost convinced myself that these two cars would see me out. But aging joints were making the driving of the Seven less than enjoyable, so that departed the garage about a year ago, and I have tried hard to convince myself that one hobby car was sufficient - I kept looking, but nothing was tempting me to swap the Lancia. But then, just before Christmas, I was made an 'offer that I couldn't refuse' for the Lancia, so I found myself without any hobby car at all. That state could not be allowed to continue, and so please welcome the latest arrival, a 1938 Talbot Ten Airline coupe:

What a beautiful shape! I think you're the type of man that is destined to always have a 'hobby car'. You know your needs and limits better than anyone else. Congrats on the new addition

Beautiful Talbot, I love it. Very rare too I would surmise. I also have two hobby cars but one is away having a very expensive engine rebuild and the other is asleep in the garage until it gets a bit warmer. That said it is due to go down south to my friend's workshop for some recommissioning at some time.

I'd like a 1:1 hobby car, but unfortunately my 1:1 hobby wife won't agree! Fortunately, she's happy to indulge in some interesting daily drivers .
