I've collected a few Rastars in the days when funds were very tight, they can be found here for around EUR 2. Their scale depends on the box, that said they're closer to 1:43 than Welly models. They're generally accurate so they're a good base if you like to add detail or make a model that nobody does. I'd rate them slightly above Buragos in quality. Find a donor for the wheels, add better glazing and wipers and you have a good model.

Shame they don't go a bit off-piste with the models they make. Instead of the same old Bug, Lambo, Mac and the like why not look further afield - Devel Sixteen, Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne and Hyperion XP-1 would all be welcome and could then be upgraded to make a decent model.

I also bought a few Rastar models about ten years ago. They still look alright, from afar!

I’ve just checked my model’s database, Ian. I have two Rastar models, a Nissan GT-R and a Range Rover, and they were bought back in May of 2011.
