I posted a link to some pics of the Japanese car show Brooks. As for this weekend- I took over 2000 pictures and they need to be processed and scaled down, then uploaded. That will take 'some' time... Thanks Tom, would love to see that if you have the link? I've taken about 500 pics and videos this week of skid-steers, excavators, survey markers...doubt anybody wants to see that, ha!

Must have been a car show somewhere in my neck of the woods today as i passed a lot of classics as i was heading off fishing this morning. Couldn’t take pics as i was in the car on my own but spotted this one when stopped at a petrol station. Pimp my ride anyone?…… Very nice, it's a '60 Chevy, either a Biscayne or Belair although you probably didn't need to know that. Obviously my kind of car....

I do like to know what I’ve spotted Paul so keep educating me!! And i did immediately think of you when you saw this as you seem to be well connected in the Essex yank tank/custom scene!

I owned a beautiful black 2.8i Special in my youth. It was factory standard apart from the 8 ball gear knob. Here is how to properly ruin one….. oh dear…..

Oh dear indeed, it looks as if it crashed through a bad taste custom shop and the stock attached itself to the unfortunate Capri. To be fair though it could have been modified years ago. You had a black 2.8i Special? Lovely, I have a massive soft spot for the Crapi.

That is indeed stuck in the '80s, in a bad way.

I don’t know how the owner if the car actually drives it, as i am assuming they are very much visually challenged.

Last Sunday was the final morning car meet at a local garden centre. The weather was good so I got into my Anglia and drove the 4-5 miles to get there, my little car ran faultlessly. Quite a good attendance although another event a few miles away meant that numbers were down on the August meet (hmm, don't think I've posted that one). Anyway here are my photographic efforts, there might be a treat for Martin even though it's not an Alfa. First up a 1938 Austin Clifton Tourer complete with what we British call a dickey seat and across the pond a rumble seat. Also known as the mother-in-law seat. Guy had only owned it for a few weeks. Tidy Sierra XR4i just for Julio Immaculate Lancia Beta And now for something completely different, a much modified c. 1950 Nash. This was built a fair few years ago and the guy that built it still owns it. I think motive power is provided by a very healthy Chevy V8, it sounds nice. A rare sight nowadays a Mk1 Escort van. A very comfortable ambulance, a Citroen CX. It was used by private medical centres. The guy said it was his brother's and he has quite a number of Citroens. One of three Mk2 Jags that were present Very clean early Rover P4 90 Lovely Mk3 Cortina GXL in splendid metallic purple Modern Maserati, as it has four doors I guess that it's probably a Quattroporte Hers (red '77 Ranchero) and his (grey '71 El Camino) duo. I prefer his choice. Later model El Camino Nice early 50s Chevy 'not really a patrol car' Morris Minor Traveller sporting spiffy wheels Good looking Triumph TR4A Daimler DS420, much loved by funeral directors, mayors and wedding car services. My late uncle used to drive them on funerals. Austin Westminster A105. The lady owner told me that her grandfather bought it new. Not an XR3i, this is the much rarer RS1600i Nicely rodded Ford Popular or possibly Anglia Triumph Vitesse, a Herald with six cylinder power and the same rear swing arm suspension, just means you go off the road backwards at a higher speed. Actually this is a later model, I think they had finally modified the rear end by then. Many yards of 1967 Cadillac Coupe de Ville, my kind of car I love this combination of colours on '56 Chevys. This one was really nice. Just kept Martin waiting for this one. It's a genuine 1.3S Fulvia HF, imported from Sicily four years ago so no rust. Nice owner, says it has just over 100bhp, sounded nice gurgling through its twin Webers or possibly Dellortos. Very pretty car, wish it was in my garage, not that there's any spare space. Or money in my bank balance.

I hate exposed engines but, I have to admit that the Nash looks fabulous!
Lots of great looking cars, from that gorgeous Mk2 to the lovely Lancias! ❣️

A brilliant selection of cars Paul. I was thinking while looking through the images the ratio of American to British and European cars is just the reverse of here. I would love to attend one of your shows! I have relatives that live in Devils Lake, ND and have sent the images of the Ford patrol car to them. They will think it's a hoot. 😄
