My first new posting for the new site so it's only fitting that it's a model that has been in my top ten wants list for years and AC have done a beautiful job on it. My only moan would be that I would have preferred it in met. blue as first seen at the London Motor show in 1969 and as it starred as the Durango 95 in a Clockwork Orange, and, I guess, why the restorers, rather unimaginitively, painted it in this, its current shade.

I have the old Corgi model of this car and have always loved it! I wouldn’t mind adding that new model to my collection…

Its funny, before I read your text, I thought of the Movie. I guess that look was the thing for a while.

It's a pity that AC don't do colour choices on their models it would give collectors more choice and presumably provide more income though, to their credit, AC don't seem to be driven by potential sales just making models of cars that interest them.

Matrix Pontiac Cirrus concept 1969





The Cirrus was originally shown as the GM-X 1964. That version had a different front end treatment and Matrix have either cheated, or inadvertently, made the model available in red which was the colour of the original. The car never went into production of course; just as well as there doesn't appear to be any way of getting in or out!
