I still want a production Lagonda, but this is pretty cool too. Nice model. Same from me.

I had long doubts on this one. Should I buy it? Do I really want it? What colour should I choose? Or do I get them both? So, in the end I got the grey one. Still not sure if I'm happy with it. Because the model has some flaws in my opinion. Would have preferred the blue one, but the colour looks to bright I guess, compared to the colour of the real car. I do love the Lagonda, in all official 4 door saloon versions. I don't like the stationwagons or the convertible. This coupé was the only one I did like, as a design.

Wow that Lagonda looks great in your pics! I, like Tom, also want a regular 4 door sedan, maybe I can find one from MC (or somebody makes another nice Mk1!)

I've got it in silver and a very weird pinkish red colour. Both are long sold out. We can only hope they recover the moulds and reissue it as a Maxichamps in some nice 70s colours.

That actually looks better than the 4-door Lagonda - wedge-tastic. Can't say I'm with you on that. The 4 door is, in my opinion, possibly the greatest saloon car design ever and other members here may well agree. I have assaulted everyone's eyeballs with some horrendous monstrosities recently so to redress the balance somewhat here's a car which I think most people will agree is quite attractive..... The 1961 original and greatest of the E types. It looks great in any hue but I had to have it in red and have had a search on for this Tecnomodel version for ages. Modelled many times but I wanted the best one out there and I believe this is it. The Almost Real version nearly turned my head but in the end I think this one has more accurate wheels and sits better.

I don’t think anyone will disagree that the early E is a stunning car and that's a fab model. Pure quality.

I second that. Is it resin or diecast? I have Eligor, IXO, and Atlas versions and I vaguely recall they're all LHD versions. Haven't seen the Almost Real version yet.
Like Marcel I too have the Minichamps Lagonda in gunmetal grey and Bronze - superb castings and worthy of more colours from MC. I also have the Western Model - white metal built version - in an appropriate maroon colour. These sometimes pop up on ebay and sufficed for several years before Minichamps version came along.

The wheels really stand out on this but there is plenty of other things going for it. Very nice ad.

Beautiful E-Type model from a completely biased fan of the cars! While I can no longer justify the expense of an E-Type, I am grateful that many of the styling cues/heritage of the E-Type couple carried over to the first series XKR Coupe, which for me was doable.

Great to see a high quality E-Type in RHD - as it should be.

I see what you mean about the blue model being too bright but I still feel it's the better option. I can't find many pics of the grey version and it's difficult to tell how accurate it is. The Minichamps is really the only option, the Western being a bit too old and clunky. If it did re-emerge as a Maxichamps it would be a guaranteed seller I reckon. Yes Tom, one of the greatest car designs - I just had to have the best model available. It's been a long wait and I'm delighted to have finally nabbed one of these Tecnomodel versions. Sorry to say the Jag is resin. It was of course an international hit but really should rhd. The MC version is nice - I have the silver. I used to have the Western, also in maroon; it doesn't stand up to modern models but is quite nice and the pepperpot wheels were nice. Thanks gents. It really is a lovely model and it's a mk1 coupe, in red, with black interior and rhd. I couldn't ask for anything more!

Odd, a bit gaudy and very cool somehow. Superb model.

Looks nice! Something between a factory concept and a posh aftermarket "hot rod".. Just read the sotry of this car, I didn't know it had retractable roof!
