I bet Jean B would love the first book! I'd better not pick up the last one unless I would like to feel bad about my career choice... Great stuff, very interesting books.

These two were bought in 2017: 266An interesting book about the first generations of Cadillac’s Seville. 267Another great book from Dalton Watson, packed with photos of classic, mostly British, beauties!

Your Vanden Plas book is a very curious title, have never seen that one before. I have the Seville book. Bought mine from a Classic Motorbooks way back in the Spring of 1990. Some very fascinating stories and photos of the developmental prototypes and models of both First and Second Gen Sevilles. Great stuff Julio

Some very fascinating stories and photos of the developmental prototypes and models of both First and Second Gen Sevilles. Great stuff Julio Thanks, BB! I’m sure you’ve seen Vanden Plas work, since many of the classic Bentleys of the 20s and 30s had Vanden Plas bodies!

Agreed, I guess Jean B would love it, if he doesn’t already own a copy! Thanks for your comments, Tom! Haha! Guess you're right, I don't own this book, but of course I've seen the title very often in the http://www... However, I was never sure to buy it because the title shows a 1950 scenery, and you know, I'm deeply in the 1930s... But the main reason is - I think - that there are so terribly many fantastic books around that I simply cannot afford to buy only a tenth of those I'm extremely interested in By the way, I do own the Vandenplas book by Dalton and Watson, and this one I really love, like most of the old Dalton & Watsons. Please continue with your book collection, it's always a pleasure to look at!

These were added during my unforgettable trip to Austin, to meet and drive home my 1966 Imperial, in late 2018! The first three were eBay buys: 268A thoroughly delightful book, even though it has lots of duplicate articles from the similar book I bought several years earlier. This “Gold Portfolio” was sort of a must that year! 269An excellent, illustrated biography about my favourite American car designer, the great Virgil Exner! 270A very good book, filled with information and nice photos, as expected from this series! And, these two were bought at Half Price Books: 271A very enjoyable book filled with lots of photos, most of them in colour! 272This is a beautifully designed book about the first two generations (with a strong emphasis on the second one) of the new MINI.

Wow, I don't think any car books must be closer to your heart than the last few Julio? All look fantastic!
Think I've said before that I was once very interested in the Exner-era Stutz. Despite Virgil Exner passing way back in 1973, his son either is or was still alive and living in Florida as soon as about 10-12 years ago. I have a friend who actually visited him at his home and took photos with some incredible models of his own and/or his Father!

I have the Chrysler book myself, it's quite good. E-type and Exner books are of interest here.

Well, these are certainly close, because of my love for my MINI and my Imperials! I remember your fascination with the newer Stutz, they’re certainly unique looking cars! I would have loved to meet Exner or his son in person! I have the Chrysler book myself, it's quite good. E-type and Exner books are of interest here. Cool, it’s nice to know we share another book! I guess you’d really enjoy the book about Exner.

I too have the Chrysler Chronicle book. A friend is a big Exner fan and allowed me to read his copy. Have you any more details on that Mini book? as it doesn't look familiar.

Thanks Julio. I wonder if it was for overseas markets. Being an ardent brochure collector even into the BMW MINI era I used to pick up all the normal literature but have obviously dropped the ball where the book is concerned. You have set me a task to hunt this item down! If there is a publication date/reference number that would be handy in my search.
