A great collection Julio. Your last book certainly grabbed my attention. Thanks, mate! That last book has absolutely gorgeous photographs!

These are the last two books that I’ve read… 299A great book! It supposedly covers every car ever designed by Pininfarina and that’s pretty impressive! I feel that it’s extremely enjoyable from the beginning up to the mid 80s, it gets a bit boring from then up to the early 2000s and then it’s extremely monotonous up to 2020. There are a few editorial errors and the translation (from Italian to English) isn’t always 100% precise, but nevertheless it’s a highly recommended book! 300The 300th car book of my collection! A thoroughly enjoyable one, filled with many good photos, a lot of them in colour!

Two nice additions! For the Pininfarina book I wouldn't mind if it wasn't entirely up to date. Their latest doesn't excite me.

I haven't kept up with your library Julio but these last two books look very interesting. The Derby Bentleys are rather nice aren't they? Very elegant.

And, I agree completely with you, about Pininfarina’s latest, they’re boring and quite generic looking designs! The golden days of the Italian carrozzeria are gone forever! I haven't kept up with your library Julio but these last two books look very interesting. The Derby Bentleys are rather nice aren't they? Very elegant. Thanks, Paul! I surely love those Bentleys! But now I’m after a good book about the big Bentleys from the times before the Rolls-Royce years!

301I wasn’t expecting this book to be so focused on racing but nevertheless it’s quite enjoyable. It’s packed with very interesting old photos and lots of information! 302This is a wonderful book, packed with cool facts, interesting stories and fabulous old and very rare photographs! I thoroughly enjoyed it! 🖤 303A great book, packed with lots of photos! The only problem is that it’s from the late 80s, so there’s a lot of cool Alfas missing!

All very interesting books that I'd love to read. Buying a history book on an existing marque is always a problem, strangely the outdated books are often better quality. The cutoff is frustrating though.

304I was looking forward to this book and, although I’ve really liked it, it also was a bit disappointing. It has lots of nice period photos, many that I had never seen before, which is something that’s hard considering the many books I have on this subject but, I found that many are miscaptioned and that is a bit frustrating! 305This book belongs to a series that I’ve always liked; I have the previous volume of this Aston Martin book and had been waiting for this one for quite some time. I must confess that I expected a better book but, it nevertheless is pretty enjoyable, with lots of interesting photos and useful information.

I guess that you get more critical as you read more on the sme subject, I regularly catch myself correcting authors. Shame that these books didn't live up to your expectations.

Well, they were not as good as I expected them to be but, they’re not that bad either! The period photos in the Bentley book are fabulous!

Nice adds Julio. Observers Book of Automobiles was a favourite title of mine. I won a book token as a junior school prize in 1958 and spent it at our local book shop! Every year thereafter in May I would watch out for the new edition and purchased them right until the end when they became paperback editions. I also hunted for the early editions 1955 onward and have the complete set.
I still have them on my book shelf and refer to them occasionally. Sadly I discarded some of the dust jackets although I never wrote or marked the pages with biro pen which many youngsters had a habit of doing. So one needs to be careful when checking out second hand editions.
A recently deceased friend tended not to worry about such things and his incomplete set have copies on which pages are sometimes written on.
I've just finished reading 'McLaren Road Cars' 2010 - 2024. 300 pages and superb photography. Not everyone's cup of tea but as the factory is not too far away I do occasionally get to spot the real things out on test.

My few Observers books were among the first in my collection and they remain quite enjoyable, after all these years! That McLaren book that you’ve just read sounds interesting!
