Crying shame the onboard ammo mysteriously caught fire..might have been an inside job though & not Ukrainian delivered missiles. My thoughts are also was it nuclear powered and the longterm environment concerns it being underwater.

Moskva, Russian technology at it's best, instantly converts from a surface vessel into a submarine!

Not sure this is the correct thread as it was on S143.
I'm just over kicking Covid. I avoided it so many tines in this past year alone as it was pretty much all around me. All my firm except me got it last month, I was the sole grafter for a week there 🤣 GF had it when here, builders I worked with got it, amazed really cos sanitising and regular handwashing was nothing I did.
My sons best friend dad got it passed it onto my son, last saturday he wasn't feeling well and positive test sunday..my youngest positive on Monday, I test negative monday but had symptoms and now wednesday test positive but well on the mend.
I had mild symptoms..cough, runny nose, fever and body aches but throat not sore one bit oddly..my kids mum positive today as well and as its her week with kids I'm being pampered by my GF as rules here isolate at home for 7 days.
All the above cases all double jabbed up with the booster so that likely went along way to having mild symptoms.
I have friends who really got it bad so I lucky in respect.

I guess we all know people who have suffered covid badly- I certainly do. Great that you managed to avoid the worst, it can be really bad.

Thankfully, of everyone that i know that had or supposedly had (or somehow my 90 year old mother is up to having it 3 times) has not had anything more than a couple days of dealing with cold/flu symptoms. Crazy how some have had such a bad case with long lasting effects and others almost nothing.
My nephew had it this week with minor symptoms, he is already pretty much done with it.

A friend of mine was one of the first, in March of '20. He still hasn't fully recovered, he's completely winded after every short bit of exercise. Like walking up the stairs and needing five minutes to recover.

We're now in the summer months but there are still lots of folk wearing masks and I spotted one chap driving solo yesterday complete with mask and no one else in the car...Nuts! It would also be interesting to hear how the non jabbed are faring.

Seems that the global labour shortage is working out well for me. After 3.5 years in an awful dead-end call centre customer service job I appear to be moving on to better things.
I have been approached by a former colleague who changed employers 6 months ago to apply at his current place of work, a provider of EV home charging solutions. It’s very much a startup and my intended position is in managing procedures and formalising the growing customer contact centre. There are however lots of very interesting positions still open and it's still under discussion as to what my role will be. It would require dusting off and recommissioning my brain which has been largely unused the last couple of years.
We will likely be wrapping this up next week and I would start in August.
