Fresh start after 7 years of S143 with lots of models from my collection. Seven years ago I started with posting 3 Bugatti Atlantics as an all time calssic favourite. Pictures which were on photobucket, so they got lost anyway.
Now I want to start with another classic favourite. A car introduced when I was about 10 years old, so I have followed its development from start to finish. On the pictures, 5 versions of the final version of the fabulous Lancia Delta. The red and yellow HF Evoluzione, white Martini 5 and blue Club Italia are by Spark, the dark red final Collezione version is by HPI. I bought the HPI in several versions when they were ridiculously cheap. Unfortunately sold all but this one. Why? Prbably because I could get a small profit on them, which would be a much larger profit when I would have sold them now. The Sparks are recent additions.
And the Spark models look very very good, but in my opinion not better than the HPI. One detail I really prefer from the HPI: the side windows. Spark has printed them on the clear plastic. With the possibility to see through at spots where it would be impossible when it was real. HPI uses a very neatly detailed piece of dark plastic, which looks more realistic to me.

As a fan of the Integrale I approve of this.

It's funny how collectors love the Integrale in 1:43, but none of us seem that interested in 1:1 ownership. The HPI looks great, but I like some of the contrasting interiors on the Sparks.

While a car that was never sold here, so it's appeal to me is in its rally pedigree and would love to take a 1:1 for a scoot!

Wonderful group. The hot hatch/rally connection makes me a big fan. The dark red one is particularly nice!

Have you seen Integrale prices? A friend of mine has one and he let me drive it a couple of times. I'll enjoy from afar.

Fantastic start - love the maroon with yellow and blue stripes. I should consider adding a non-numbered Delta myself.
I am currently reading Peter Collins' book on the integrales and this only makes me want more!

Unlike you Marcel, I rarely buy multiple colour variants of one car model so the Integrale presented a problem as it looks as good in any hue. Plumped for the Spark dark blue but the red or yellow would also have been welcome.

As a fan of the Integrale I approve of this. Thanks Tom It's funny how collectors love the Integrale in 1:43, but none of us seem that interested in 1:1 ownership. The HPI looks great, but I like some of the contrasting interiors on the Sparks. Well... have you ever seen how much they are going for? And after that, what maintance will cost? Would love to have one, but totally unaffordable... While a car that was never sold here, so it's appeal to me is in its rally pedigree and would love to take a 1:1 for a scoot! Would love that too Wonderful group. The hot hatch/rally connection makes me a big fan. The dark red one is particularly nice! It looks good in that colour indeed. This is the final edition of the Integrale, all like this. It's funny how collectors love the Integrale in 1:43, but none of us seem that interested in 1:1 ownership. The HPI looks great, but I like some of the contrasting interiors on the Sparks. Have you seen Integrale prices? A friend of mine has one and he let me drive it a couple of times. I'll enjoy from afar. Yes, that... Unfortunately it is not like buying a Volvo 940... Nice group shots and models! Thanks Fantastic start - love the maroon with yellow and blue stripes. I should consider adding a non-numbered Delta myself. I am currently reading Peter Collins' book on the integrales and this only makes me want more! I only have them without the numbers. Pfff... that would mean even more variations on the pile of Delta's Fantastic group Marcel. Great pictures of them as well. I like the avatar you picked, i was hoping someone would use that one. Haha thank you, it was the most attractive one with one of my favourite car designs. Still figuring out how this new forum works. Very nice start, great group of Lancia Delta models Thank you Unlike you Marcel, I rarely buy multiple colour variants of one car model so the Integrale presented a problem as it looks as good in any hue. Plumped for the Spark dark blue but the red or yellow would also have been welcome. I know you have the blue one. You posting that caused me to search for a Spark Delta. And I just couldn't pick which one I would prefer..... I do like to have multiple variations from cars I like. I can always later pick one I like to keep and sell the rest of them.

This one must be the summum of 70s Bertone weirdness, the 1976 Alfa Romeo Navajo. Unmistakably a Bertone, some kind of 70s interpretation of their BATs from the 50s. I love the Star Trek style Bertone had in those days. The model is by Matrix, and it looks stunning. The windshield must have been a problem for the real car, but in a model it must be even harder to get it like this. With super fine window surrounds. Details and proportions look spot on. The only thing I just had to alter is pushing the orange striping in the shutlines. They make it in two versions, this grey one and a silver one. I really don't know which one is the original, I was only 6 years old back then. But I preferred this colour, with the "5" on the sides.

That looks like it was made for a 1970s SF movie. Love it, very dated and weird.
