Great to know the author personally. I love it when someone writes a book about a very clearly defined subject using the knowledge gained over many years rather than research. It makes for very different books. When I write my book it will be a hybrid of these two types.

As an old Australian "Fordie", this could be the best book you have in your collection Michael .

Interesting book. I’m sure it has photos of lots of unique and unusual Fords!

American Business Abroad: Ford on Six Continents by Michael, on Flickr American Business Abroad: Ford on Six Continents Mira Wilkins & Frank Ernest Hill Wayne State University Press, 1964 In the early Sixties Ford sent the team of Wilkins and Hill around the world to research and write the history of their far-flung corporate empire. Nearly 60 years later is still the standard work on the Ford Motor Company abroad. It is probably time for a follow up volume. It took me years to track down a copy of this book and it has been very influential on my understanding of the international history of the Ford Motor Company. This book has since been reprinted. Fords and Flags 1964 Cut-off by Michael, on Flickr Marking the 50th anniversary of Mira Wilkins' unique business history of the Ford Motor Company outside of the United States -- American Business Abroad: Ford on Six Continents. Every flag on the table corresponds to a scale model representing a Ford model that was manufactured or assembled in that country at some time between 1903 and 1964. ABA was reprinted in 2011 and is now fairly easy to find.

I remember buying this book from the long gone Motor Books in London, I was delighted that someone had written about the small Fords.

The automotive books that I bought in 2022 (except for which was included by mistake). Mostly Ford but not entirely. That Rover book looks interesting and extremely tempting! Would you recommend it? Yes. It is a concise little book of photos and short descriptions of all Rover models since 1945.
