OK, so the BRMs are special but I’m going to have to go ga-ga over the rally machinery, Fiat X1/9, Delta and Sunbeam Lotus - 3 of my faves right there.
Oh, and the 8C takes the biscuit of course.
Looks like a good day out.

Thanks for posting, would love to see that many BRM's together! It's interesting how long they hung onto the single rear brake concept when it resulted in so many race failures. Looks like it was a great weekend!

Nice day out, I saw those BRMs at the BRM Association Day back in April at the Blyton track owned by Ginetta, some were pounding around, indeed the ex-Rodriguez car was being tested by pro driver Esteban Gutierrez as he was racing it on behalf of its owner a few weeks later at the Monaco Historic meeting. I was posting photos of that day in the car sightings thread but somehow I forgot to finish them off.

Wow, what a fantastic day! So many famous cars to see... in six weeks' time I'll add some reports myself.

I've just returned from a week-long extravaganza celebrating the Austin Seven's centenary. I was heavily involved in the exhibition that was set up, which included this set of Inver Models of the American Austin and Bantam: We were unable to prise the original prototype out of the British Science Museum, so there was no car present that was actually 100 years old, but this is the oldest in private hands and will be 100 later this year: We were able to get all the surviving Works single-seater cars together for the first time ever; the car nearest the camera started life as a record-breaker, known as the Yellow Canary, being the first 750cc car to reach 100mph on British soil (MG got there first but not in Britain!). It was then converted to racing spec similar to the green car next to it and was eventually exported to South Africa where it was campaigned well into the 1950s. The green car went to New Zealand and has only recently returned to the UK. The blue car is the ultimate development of the original side-valve design, producing 85bhp from 750cc and capable of 110mph. The two green cars both have special twin-cam engines with a top speed of over 120mph: The rally site was not conducive to showing the total number of cars, which we believe was around 1,043, but here are a few shots to give a flavour: We had cars from France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, and I met visitors from the States, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Japan!

You cannot not like an Austin Seven in whatever form it may be. My late uncle had a Ruby back in the 1950's when they were as cheap as chips, I vaguely remember it. This looks like a great event, I would have enjoyed having a wander around. I would quite like to own one but sadly already have two classic cars and there's no more room in the garage. Brilliant cars and vans though.
