I've just returned home from the Concours d'Elegance, our number 1 classic car event that for obvious reasons was cancelled in '20 and '21. They went all out for '22 with an amazing collection of classics in the gardens of the former Royal Palace. It's a three-day event and I intended to attend both Saturday and Sunday but after 13292 footsteps (according to my fitness watch) and 1100 pictures (that's with the camera, I also shot a few hundred with my phone) I think my body will appreciate a day's rest tomorrow. You might understand that it will take a while to process all these pictures...

Some very delicious machinery there Tom! I was of course drawn to the XJ6C convertible, but also the Ferrari 500 Superfast owned by Prince Bernard. All are smashing!

This is going to good, no great! Impressive numbers on the steps and snaps Tom, so enjoy a break. We'll wait and you're already off to a running start! Is that a Mexico behind the 3500 GT? Think it is and love the 2 gens of '60s Astons side by side.

That looks like a truly magnificent day out Tom. You had me with the first 3, and then the 1900 SS Zagato came up and I was unable to speak anymore . There is just too much to admire here, from Escort to Renaults 8 and 5, Citroen SM, Alpine, Mustang, Grifos and of course the bonkers RZ - I am also quite partial to an Opel GT, very nice. But if I was taking only one home (OK two) it would be the pair of Giulietta Coupes, pure bliss.

I'm going to have to have a nice lie down after this last posting Tom. I always knew there was a strong Alfa culture in The Netherlands, but this line-up is magnificent - too many treats to list them all, but the Giulietta Sprint Speciale is one of my all-time favourite Alfa designs.
When I've recovered I'll go back and look at the other cars, the Escorts, Ferraris, Lancias, Spyker.... etc. I know you are not a fan of modern Ferraris, but how does the 296 stack up for you. I am finding it a good looking vehicle, especially from the front.

Thanks for the positive comments, all. Martin, I've photographed all modern Ferraris for you. Will need some more time to process and upload- at least a couple of days. BTW, I really like the Ferrari Roma if it's in a good colour.

What, nobody loves the Reliant Regal three wheeler ? I didn't know that we inflicted those onto foreign shores. Aside from that what a wonderful show, so much variety from high end cars down to a Renault 10. I would love to visit it, so much to see. I did a show yesterday with my Impala and actually took some photos which may end up here but no expensive Ferraris were present!
