I would be lucky to go to a show and see one, maybe two Bugatti's, but that many? Outstanding! Tons of other very nice motors too!

I like that Morris truck, they were very popular with their unique cab design. They were nicknamed 'threepenny bits' here after the coin of the same name which had angled edges rather than being round. It's a British thing. Way too many lovely cars to see there, what a show. I did take my Impala to show on Sunday and actually took some photos but I'm going to wait until you've finished posting Tom as I cannot compete with multiple Bugattis, Ferraris etc .

I'll post a link to an online album for the rest, so go ahead Paul. Oh, next two Saturdays are for classic car shows too. Nothing like the Concours, though.

I'd happily take anything from the first of the last two postings Tom, except for the Flames, the Rolls and the oversized saucer(?) of course! Nice to see that Alfa is continuing to dominate .

Wow, where's the drooling smiley? So many great cars there...
Did you take any photographs of the early Golf in yellow?

Sorry Tom, no photos of that Golf, it probably did not catch my eye, looks clean though. Most Golfs that have survived are GTIs, the ordinary versions have been scrapped or used as parts cars.

What a variety Paul! Many appear to be excellent examples of their respective models too! Looks like a great time out in a beautiful natural setting. Will have to read up on Stamford.

Looks like a great way to spend the day Paul. I can't wait for winter here to be over so we'll see the return of the car shows.

Nice variety! Bristol, Bentley, Continental MkV and that utterly cool Bedford van for me! I knew that you would like the Bentley which is why I took the photo of it. The Continental has an interesting story, the English owner was on holiday in the US in 1978 and visited a Lincoln dealership, saw the car and was amazed at the price and bought it off the showroom floor. Thus it's a one owner all original car. Then he found out that to get it shipped here was $350 which he hadn't thought about and he was going to have to contact his father to send the money. But there was another guy there who overheard the conversation, he said that he owned a large trawler which was going over to Scotland and that the Lincoln could be transported for $50. So the car owner had a look at his trawler, it was pretty big so he agreed on the deal and a few weeks later the Lincoln arrived undamaged. It's a Cartier edition with the 460ci V8, it's just as nice inside as outside. As for the Bedford, yes it is cool but the running gear is not stock. It is powered by a 3-litre straight six from a Vauxhall/Opel Senator with an auto box. The suspension and steering is I believe all Jaguar. Oh and they never made these Bedfords with a one piece rear door. It's beautifully done and very tasteful plus it's probably much nicer to drive than a stock version.

Thanks for sharing the story of that beautiful Continental, it surely is quite interesting! Those Continentals remain among my favourite American cars from the 70s!
