Wonderful Jean! I am uncertain which would be my favorite of the pair. I will be anxious to see both with full trim and interiors. It may be that both shine equally!

Still love the red and gold more than the Milka Lila Pause. You did a great job on the tonneau cover (that's what the soft top cover is called) and as expected those seats look amazing too. Thanks I knew that the violet one would cause some controverse , however, I'm sure the final result will convince!
Wonderful Jean! I am uncertain which would be my favorite of the pair. I will be anxious to see both with full trim and interiors. It may be that both shine equally! You will hardly be disappointed I'm thrilled myself, however, it will still take some weeks until we're going to see the completed cars. A very big mountain, this time...
Meanwhile the tonneau covers are ready, but this one's too short, the gap between seats and cover is too big.
The meanwhile well-known trick: fixing adhesive tape on top, filling up putty from underneath.
And so I can correct the shape of the cover, up to the seats.
Better!
Making the interior: A new method this time, for making the pipings, I made them of 0.1mm etching metal, perfectly fitting onto the seat pleatings.
And if you wonder why works are going so slowly: I unpacked my Art-Déco-Diorama of last year, planning and making some (bigger) additions and improvements - and the day only has 24 hours, what a shame!
Seats and door panels ready.
Time for making the trim!

Oh boy, those seats look fantastic! What a great job! Well, at least it's a sort of improvement compared to the original ones...
I agree, your earlier creations looked fantastic but this is a clear improvement! Yes, the photo-etched trim is 0.25mm wide and follows - of course - exactly the pleatings of the seat. I guess it's difficult to get it more accurate, and this new technique allows many more solutions, as I hope!
THANKS!
Absolutely astounding skills on display ! Let's say, I simply cannot understand when other people are saying they are bored and don't know what to do...
Super work on those seats Thank you, nice to hearing!
Some new p/e parts, but what's the sheet above...?
Always forgetting to make small studs, I've now made a full sheet with studs in four sizes, to have some for the next decades...
Door panels are completed.
And so are the tonneau covers.
Hard to believe, but...
...works on these two "simple" parts needed at least a full week!
Still they are not fully authentic, but I'm quite satisfied, nevertheless...
Fixing some trim: the door sills and the louvers.
On the bright metallic paint it's not that stunning as on the violet paint.
Time to mount the radiatior grille and the headlights.
It's all coming along, but very slowly this time... Don't know why, but last week - for example - I had such a bad virus (don't know if it was Covid, I'm vaccinated a dozen times) that I could hardly do anything...
And the same for the red/gold one.
Quite fancy racers, aren't they? Next will be making the side windows.

Jean I have been reading your pages but it has taken me until page 4 to get around to expressing my amazement of your work.
I got blown away with the seat detail amongst all the other stages. Thanks for taking the time to share. Very enjoyable viewing.

Thank you so much, nice to hearing! I'm always happy if somebody follows my threads. Being a model-builder is something quite similar to silicon valley nerds, only without the appreciation of the environment My family considers my work as a kind of "toy-making"... Preparing the window panes for the door panels. ] Completed panels. And everything fits together! I often have the problem that finally the doors resp. the panels are too thick and I can't put the parts altogether in a row... The other one. Designing the windshields, which will be a lot of work... I took two attempts designing the windshield parts, but at a certain point, you simply have to GO. One of the dashboards. Put in place, and again, everything fits at the first time There is no photo of the interior of this particular car, so I copied another version of the Spezial Roadster dashboard for this one.

Cutting the window panes and drilling 0.4mm holes at the bottom edge for the wipers
Completing the window panes with the frames took a whole day...
Mounting (most) parts of the side trim.
Forgot to make enough of the tiny hood latches.
Then starting one of the most exaggerating works of this project: mounting the windshields! These roadsters require a - let's say - hilarious construction of the windshield, I'm definitely unable to explain the difficulties in English, sorry.
However, I've lost my hair, but the windshield is finally fixed!
Not exactly what I wanted, but I'm satisfied in a way...
For the red one, the works were even worse as I had no side windows to fix the windshield...
As you can see, the searching lights are mounted, as well.
Heading the last very difficult work (hopefully!): making the foglights for the front fenders. These two p/e parts are to be punched and soldered together, and then...
...fixed to the front wings (after being polished and varnished, as solder gets dull within a few hours).
The second pair of searching lights.
So I guess it could only take another few months until I can finish this project
