Thanks Ian, I thought you might come up with the goods, that’s exactly the photo that I remember. Is it from the Hockenheim museum? I had also found other photos of Alan’s model which I believe is a slot car. After trawling through Goggomobil images and further emails to Graham I am probably going with the shade below. I won’t try and replicate the open sunroof but use a slightly different shaded decal to depict it. The photo above is of a different model Goggomobil obviously but I think that’s the same shade. The Goggomobil project is being revived. I wasn’t entirely happy with my original colour choice so I looked at it again with Bernie at my local paint shop with a view to getting close to the car in the photo below which was part of a Hockenheim Museum display. The image below shows the car in my original colour choice sat on the new colour we came up with. I reckon that’s more like it, bit more yellow to it. Also had some thoughts about the sunroof and found these photos. Looks like a black sunroof then, time to get on with it!

Got you Paul. That #1 car is a Lotus 30 1964 Goodwood TT by SMTS. I need to get a 1965 Lotus 30 to go with it.

Goggomobil. Cont. After much research and blind alleys, job done. GOGGOMOBIL T300 TWIN CYL. 2 STROKE 293cc JIM CLARK & IAN SCOTT-WATSON 1957 MG CAR CLUB AUTO TESTS SCHUCO 0 2073 I’m not totally happy with the outcome, the 12 and 15 are a bit big. I made them the same size as the original reg. numbers which eventually had to reduced. By then I had lacquered over the competition numbers. Also the colour comes across a bit greeny although the shot in the cabinet is better. Also wipers, wing mirror and door handles would be nice. I’m thinking of having another go using the model below since it has the sunroof open as it was on the day.

I just bought it so that's your fault . Mind you I got 15% off as some sellers are having a discount promotion. Second model I've bought from RM this week.

A word of caution here is offered, many of the tasty items that RM is posting on eBay are slightly damaged, such as wing mirrors missing, that isn’t mentioned in the description which isn’t easily downloaded, but can be seen in the photos. I have bought many models from him with no problems, but in this instance, caveat emptor.

It arrived today safe and sound even though the postie left it behind a side gate and may have had to drop it there. There's nothing wrong with it, no parts missing as far as I can see. I am very pleased with it and I think that this is my first Tecnomodel.

Lister Jaguar. (cont.)An impressive stickler for detail is Scott at Grand Prix Decals. He wasn’t happy with the Border Reivers decals I’d asked him to make for me. I’d measured them from a Spark Le Mans model but he argued conclusively that they were too big so I asked him to supply replacements along with reg. numbers to replace the damaged ones on my model. This is the result. Top man! And a fellow member.

That’s no problem Paul, I made my own in May last year. I modified a Spark model of Dan Gurney’s car (£47) using decals from an excellent Dutch supplier. It was a bit complicated but obviously well worth it. You can find the details earlier on in this thread.
