If at first you don't succeed, try and try again. And eventually finish last, well someone has to! Nice model.

Both of these last two are right on the money - I am liking this foray into the 2-litre racers. If I had to pick one I should probably go with the (Australian) green and gold one .

If at first you don't succeed, try and try again. And eventually finish last, well someone has to! Nice model. Absolutely as the 2 litre class was so dominated by unreliability that if you kept going you were in with a chance. 14 started, 4 finished and despite this being the last placed finisher it was only 5 places behind the class winner! 2 lovely racers there Andy Thanks Paul. There's more You've really gone into this -very attractive- rabbit hole! Love this one too. I have. Taken a good run up too Both of these last two are right on the money - I am liking this foray into the 2-litre racers. If I had to pick one I should probably go with the (Australian) green and gold one . They are fabulous examples of their ilk and rest assured there are more I'm entirely surprised by that choice. I'm actually drawn more to the blue & red but they are both great

Another interesting addition Andy. I have a couple of Bizarre Lola's from this era sponsored by "La Pierre du Nord", but I have no idea who they were/are.

An internet search doesn't shine any light on them either, but we know they did like motor racing in the 70s a lot!

Nice touch with those very hand painted race numbers. I don't think I've seen another car with number fonts like that.

Like that one a lot too. I'm trying desperately not to add any of these, because I can see it getting expensive quite quickly. Extremely attractive though.

Very creditable effort to actually finish let alone win their class. Another lovely model, must resist.

As has been said by others, those 2.0L cars are a real treat and a slippery slope I have been trying to avoid. Great add(s)!

Similar to Ian's comments, the first thing that struck me about the model was the fancy font on the numbers - very nice, and much clearer than using Wing Dings .

Nice touch with those very hand painted race numbers. I don't think I've seen another car with number fonts like that. Yes it is. Must have had a signwriter to hand and agreed the font is pretty unique. Like that one a lot too. I'm trying desperately not to add any of these, because I can see it getting expensive quite quickly. Extremely attractive though. If you apply my willpower then yes it does become quite expensive, especially when your pre-orders get batched up. Very attractive as you note Very creditable effort to actually finish let alone win their class. Another lovely model, must resist. Very much so, one of only 4 to make it and most of those were walking wounded As has been said by others, those 2.0L cars are a real treat and a slippery slope I have been trying to avoid. Great add(s)! Thanks Jerry Not only am i on the slippery slope but i'm wearing Teflon trousers!
Similar to Ian's comments, the first thing that struck me about the model was the fancy font on the numbers - very nice, and much clearer than using Wing Dings . It's a very diffeent font to normal and as you note it is very clear

The Chevron B36 was developed in 1976 for Group 6 competition in the 2 litre class and was purely intended as a customer racer and therefore was designed to take multiple engines and to be easy to maintain. 21 chassis were built between 1976 & 1978 and several went to Société Racing Organisation Course who would install a 2 litre I4 Simca ROC engine in teirs.
Le Mans 1979 would see them run one in conjunction with André Chevalley Racing with a driver line up of Marcel Tarres, Alain Dechelette & Charles Dechelette who would qualify 43rd and despite falling back to 46th after 2 hours, by 6 hours in they were in 34th and 27th by half distance which is roughly where they would stay for the next 6 hours reaching 25th at the three quarter distance. Unfortunately just before the next hour mark they were in an accident with a Ferrari 512 under braking at Mulsanne Corner which resulted in them being punted over the barrier and consequently out of the race after completing 187 laps.
Trofeu - Chevron B36 - 1979 Le Mans 24 Hours - M.Tarres, A.Dechelette & C.Dechelette - DNF
