European Ford Trucks from IXO 500E Thames and Ford/Simca Cargo by IXO by IFHP97, on Flickr I posted this photo on IXO's Facebook page with the following note: I really like the IXO-made truck series. Since I only collect Fords, I only have two (Ford/Simca Cargo and Ford Thames). Here they are with my suggestion for a third European Ford truck model -- the 1954-61 F-K 4500 (G-700 in some export markets). If you are careful, you could use the same casting to make a fourth model --Thames NC Trader/Ford K-600 as they used the same body as the F-K 4500. Any plans?IXO posted a pretty positive response which leads me to think that a F-K 4500 is in the works. [Nine years later nothing has come of this]

2006-08 Ford LCF by Eligor I didn't know Eligor made die-cast vehicles this nice. The working tilt-cab supports my theory that Ford used this model as a promotional piece back in 2006. The LCF was a disaster for Ford. My understanding is that only a few thousand were sold in 2006-08. I was a bit worried about the actual scale of this truck when I bought it. In this comparison with other 1:43 trucks it looks perfect. The box does not give any scale, but it is stamped 1:43 on the truck itself.

GAZ Model AA Bus by Hongwell GAZ Model AA Bus by Hongwell by IFHP97, on Flickr Nicely detailed, but probably undersized for a 1:43 scale bus. I have long looked at these GAZ AA trucks on e-bay and wondered if they were accurately scaled or not. I bought this bus from an e-bay seller in Latvia who said the manufacture was IXO. I trust IXO to be good about the scale of their trucks so I ordered it. But it turns out to be Hongwell, not IXO and the bus is about the size of a Transit van. The standard Model AA chassis was 131.5 inches. I don't know, maybe GAZ made a shorter version. Here is a comparison photo with the Ford/Simca Cargo by IXO. GAZ Model AA Bus by Hongwell by IFHP97, on Flickr Comparison with Ford Transit. GAZ Model AA Bus by Hongwell by IFHP97, on Flickr 18-passenger bus (including driver). The small number of seats makes the relative shortness of this bus more plausible In the end I would probably be reluctant to buy any more GAZ AAs by Hongwell because of the scale question. It would be wonderful if IXO would add some Model AA trucks to their truck series.

Two 2015 Ford truck releases from the the French part work company Hachette. (built by Sonic in Bangladesh) ET7 Thames Bus by Michael, on Flickr 1952 Thames ET7 bus in Malta livery. ET7 Thames Bus by Michael, on Flickr Recent Arrivals by Michael, on Flickr Circa 1947 Ford F 798 T fire truck (a French truck). This is the first 1:43 scale model that I've ever seen that was made in Bangladesh. Too bad about the cock-eyed headlights, I don't know if they can be fixed. The model needs some more paint too -- maybe a black bumper, silver mirrors and a blue Ford oval. Recent Arrivals by Michael, on Flickr

Ford LCF by Eligor. Now I have both the Ford promotional model and the more standard looking reissue by Tyotoys. 1:43 Ford LCF Comparison by Michael, on Flickr 1:43 Ford LCF Comparison by Michael, on Flickr Two versions of Eligor's circa 2007 Ford LCF model. The blue one was build a as Ford promotional model and the white one was marketed by Tyotoys as a blank canvas for miniature taggers and graffiti artist. Over all the white truck seems better detailed, but the blue truck as the proper Ford LCF door badges. 1:43 Ford LCF Comparison by Michael, on Flickr
