The real Maranello Concessionaires Ford Thames Trader above, the fake Exoto version below. Still a cool truck model! Another Exoto creation: I saw this Ford pickup this past weekend and thought it was cool. I could just imagine someone speeding out near Texarkana and see this police interceptor come flying up behind them! I think I may try to make one.

Great thread! I love the early '60s vans, what a great-looking trio.

I think I may try to make one. I had never heard of the F-Series Interceptor before. What museum is this in? I hadn't either. With its 428 engine, it was undoubtedly quick. It's in the Brother's Collection in Salem, Oregon.

1965 Ford F-100 Flareside by Goldvarg: The good, the bad and the ugly. Ford F-100 Flareside by Goldvarg by Michael, on Flickr Originally, I wasn't going to buy this Goldvarg model because of the visibly misshapen hood ornament and the poor detailing on the wheels. However, this model was damaged and was offered on ebay for a very low price, so I bought it anyway. Ford F-100 Flareside by Goldvarg by Michael, on Flickr Ford F-100 Flareside by Goldvarg by Michael, on Flickr I don't know why Goldvarg goes for cost cutting on the wheels of some of their models. In this case the "dog dish" hubcaps should be bright (or white) with red lettering and the wheel itself should be black or white or maybe the same color as the truck, but never bright. Ford F-100 Flareside by Goldvarg by Michael, on Flickr Ford F-100 Flareside by Goldvarg by Michael, on Flickr Overall, Goldvarg did well with the back, although I question that large, low hanging, bright bumper. Ford F-100 Flareside by Goldvarg by Michael, on Flickr Goldvarg got the unique shape of the taillights right, but the orange turn signal isn't correct, at least in the USA. Ford F-Series of the 1960s by Michael, on Flickr Comparison of 1965 Goldvarg with 1960 and '66 models from PCT. Also, a comparison of the correct look for the 1953-60 and 1961-66 versions of Ford's "Gear-lightning" hood ornamentation. Goldvarg got it wrong. Ford F-100 Flareside by Goldvarg by Michael, on Flickr One of the biggest flaws of the model is the misshapen "Gear-lightning" logo shield. It should be smaller and wider like in the illustration below. The "V8" instead of the gear lightning logo is correct. 1965 Ford F-100 (USA) 2 by Michael, on Flickr

That's a dumb mistake when there's enough documentation available for research. Painting the wheels should be a relatively easy job.
