2016 Ford Ranger double cabin 4x4 by Momaco Ford Ranger (2016) by Momaco (Alarme Series) by Michael, on Flickr Until now, I was unaware of the French die-cast model company Momaco. This year they started a new sub-line called Alarme and the first vehicle in that series is a 2016 Ford Ranger double cabin 4x4 pick up. It comes in about five versions, all fire fighting rigs except this one civilian version. One odd feature of the model is that the licence plates and even the FORD emblems come a decals that the buyer has to apply. Having an example of the international Ford Ranger fills a big gap in my Ford collection. 1980's Ford 9000 LTS from IXO articulated series. Ford 9000 LTS by IXO by Michael, on Flickr I was excited to see this truck on e-bay. I didn't buy it because I thought it was too expensive, but some day I hope to. I noticed that the car hauler trailer is actually a 1950's European design (used first on a different model). Something like this would never be seen behind a long-haul truck like this Ford in the US .

Somehow it happened, I ended up with both versions of the 1980's Ford LTS 9000. Ford LTS 9000 Comparison by Michael, on Flickr Ford LTS 9000 Comparison by Michael, on Flickr I can't honestly say that the retail version (blue) of this truck is more detailed than the partwork (brown) version. Ford LTS 9000 Comparison by Michael, on Flickr I also bought a New Ray toy truck with the intent to attached the trailer to the LTS 9000, which works, although the New Ray needs a lot of detailing. Semi Trailer Comparison by Michael, on Flickr Semi Trailer Comparison by Michael, on Flickr Semi Trailer Comparison by Michael, on Flickr Ford LTS 9000 and Ford Aero Max by Michael, on Flickr The reason that I was willing to buy the auto transporter is because I knew that the trailer would fit the 1950's Ford Cargo cab that I already have. It looks much better with 50's European cars on it. Actually the top tier is too narrow to accommodate larger cars, even the 1953 Courier was at risk of losing its side mirrors. Ebro C-150 by Michael, on Flickr 1968 Ebro C150 delivering beer in a Spanish version of Holiday Village. Ebro B 45 and C-150 from Salvat's Spanish Truck Part-Work Series by Michael, on Flickr The two Ebro trucks in my collection. A B-45 fire engine and a C150 beer delivery truck. Notice how small the C150 is. European Ford Trucks by Michael, on Flickr European Ford truck line-up. European Ford Trucks by Michael, on Flickr Ford Trucks -- Size Comparison by Michael, on Flickr I was pretty surprised when I realized how small the Ebro C150 is. I trust IXO (I assume this is IXO) to be pretty accurate on scale. I looked it up and the real deal was only 14.5 meters (about 15 feet) long. It also looks like it might have been a bit narrower than the large C-Series and Thames Trader FC versions. I decided to photograph the C150 with other Ford trucks to see what it was comparable with -- size wise. In reality the cab, except for trim details would be the same from 1957 hru 1990. It hard to say which one is better, but I would say that the PCT/IXO in more accurate in the details, although the Exoto is clearly built to a high price point -- funny how more expensive doesn't necessarily mean more accurate.
