That’s the story about the Jonckheere Phantom that I read! Nice Continental, it would look fabulous next to Neo’s 1958 and to GLM’s 1959!

I have that Continental but I do not know if the scale is 100% correct. It is certainly heavy. A now sadly deceased friend bought a beautiful original 1960 Continental sedan from the Hershey swapmeet and imported it into England, I hope that his wife still owns it.

Interesting history of the Jonkheere. I seem to remember a probably apochryphal story of the Rolls being 'painted' with gold powder in a lacquer coat and period photos of the car show it in a pale hue with none that I can find in black so I still favour the gold finish. Restored car also has had the elaborate bumpers removed which I feel is detrimental to the deco looks. If you wanted it in white, Vroom was the only manufacturer I know of that modelled it in all 3 shades but they were very expensive.

Beautiful model, great idea to keep it. Ixo Museum models are generally hard to find, and that one is very rare indeed.

Very nice, I am also in the keep it camp. That said I rarely get rid of anything. The IXO Museum Series was pretty decent and good value.
