A very nice addition Andy! I have resisted that one so far, but just barely!

The Batmobile is one of those cars that you just have to like, and in M colours, how can you resist it. This must have been a very easy decision to make.

Batmobile CSL in Motorsport livery? Yes please! Thats what i thought Further to what Tom said, this should prove to be very popular. It will look good paired with the Premium Classixxs BMW transporter too. I'd tend to agree. CSLs are very popular
Yes it will. I currently have the 73 cars displayed with the transporter so no harm in one more
What a great looking model and car! ❣️ I can only agree By coincidence I was thinking of buying this yesterday when perusing stuff on a well known auction site, well eBay. The same seller had this and some other very nice models and his prices are always good. I decided to buy a TSM Targa Florio Cobra driven by the great Dan Gurney and another bloke as I have an Exoto Fiat Bartolotti Cobra transporter to put in on. Might have to check out this CSL again though as I think it's the last one he has. And I'm supposed to be cutting down my expenditure, sigh. Edit: I succumbed to temptation and bought it. You're to blame for that . Dangerous site that. I accept the blame as you have made a fine purchase as is the Cobra. Every time i think i should be good something else i want is released Oh yes A very nice addition Andy! I have resisted that one so far, but just barely! Thanks Jerry I couldn't resist at all

I don't even think i thought about it. Just said yes Iconic car and livery. I'm almost tempted.... Very much so. Resistance is extremely difficult if not futile

Derek Bell 5 times winner at Le Mans, 3 times at Daytona, twice the World Sportscar Champion was also on occasion a F1 driver too debuting for Ferrari in 1968 with two appearances. He would appear for McLaren once the following year and then once for Brabham in 1970 and then once in the same year for Surtees on which he scored points by coming home 6th in Mexico, and he would again make a single appearance for Surtees in 1971. 1972 saw him make 3 appearances for Tecno and then in his final F1 season 1974 he would make 5 appearances for Surtees in their TS16 which he would fail to qualify on 4 occasions however in Germany at the Nürburgring he managed to qualify 25th and last on the grid some 21 seconds off the pole.
Bell would convert this to an 11th placed finish at the flag some 5 minutes behind the winner, making it only the second time he had finished in F1 and as he failed to qualify for the following three races this was to be his last F1 race and finish. He consoled himself by winning Le Mans the following year.

The esteemed Mr. Bell and a very distinctive looking F1 car, you'd have no trouble convincing me to add that.

Surtees, Bell, and Matchbox - lots of icons ticked with this one (the car and model are pretty good on their own as well).

Quite nice Andy! Nice to see Spark making some of these Surtees cars, this and the TS19 Durex car you posted. Last time I saw either was back in the 1970s when I had Tron versions. Was it really almost 50 years ago? 😁 Great add!

Nice model of an interesting car that reminds me of some of my old Corgis!

Very nice, I have a soft spot for the Surtees racers as they were to my mind a bit of an underdog in F1 although if I recall correctly quite successful in F2. If I collected F1 cars properly I would have to have this one, it ticks a lot of airboxes.

Big wings, airboxes and a lack of electronics are a winning combination.

The esteemed Mr. Bell and a very distinctive looking F1 car, you'd have no trouble convincing me to add that. I needed no convincing at all. The moment I saw it, it was an addition. Surtees, Bell, and Matchbox - lots of icons ticked with this one (the car and model are pretty good on their own as well). Oh yes, and you can add B&O, large airbox and massive wing to that list as well. Quite nice Andy! Nice to see Spark making some of these Surtees cars, this and the TS19 Durex car you posted. Last time I saw either was back in the 1970s when I had Tron versions. Was it really almost 50 years ago? 😁 Great add! Thanks Jerry Yes, somewhat unfortunately it was 50 years ago. I am consoling myself with these Spark releases Nice model of an interesting car that reminds me of some of my old Corgis! I think both Corgi and Matchbox had Surtees models in their ranges back then. I know for certain there is a Matchbox kit of the TS16 Very nice, I have a soft spot for the Surtees racers as they were to my mind a bit of an underdog in F1 although if I recall correctly quite successful in F2. If I collected F1 cars properly I would have to have this one, it ticks a lot of airboxes. Sure does tick a lot of airboxes Underdog is the right word for them. They were a team that always seemed to be one step behind the F1 development curve
Big wings, airboxes and a lack of electronics are a winning combination. All of the above sir

Charles Deutsch returned to Le Mans after a years' absence in 1966 with a new Peugeot powered car, the lightweight and slippery SP66 which was needed as it only had an albeit tuned 1130cc I4. The team would run 3 cars all driven by all French crews and the slowest qualifying of the trio was driven by Georges Heligouin & Jean ‘Johnny’ Rives in No.53 who would start from 50th on the grid however they were able to make up 8 places in the first hour no doubt helped by the cars 155 mph top speed on the straights which would have no doubt been increased by any slipstreaming effect. After 6 hours they found themselves in 39th and also the last CD running, one having had a clutch failure and the other a serious accident which was to be the fate of 53 too as in the 8th hour whilst running in 35th they were involved in a 4 car incident with a Ferrari, a Porsche and a Matra which ended their race after 91 laps. Spark have modelled this car without the rear fins which was definitely the case when the car was wrecked and also whilst running as there is photographic proof of such, however there are also photos from the race with its rear fins in place.

What a great looker, shame their race ended like that. You must have a few CD LM cars by now...

Very nice Andy. I think many of the pictures of this car with wings are actually mis-labeled pictures of the 1967 car. The '66 and '67 cars appear to have different licence plate numbers and different shaped front air intakes, which is one way to tell them apart.
