Space is always such a limiting factor. Nice solution you have there.

Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr 2023 Annual Model CensusThis year’s census it a little larger than last year with 41 models collected. PCT continues as my largest source of models and I think that all of my PCT acquisitions this year are from part-work series (though sometimes it's hard to tell). The breakout category this year is what I call "Dream Cars, Prototypes, One-Offs and Stillborns". Vanguards, Trax and Goldvarg are all doing well with five new additions each. By Decades:1920’s: 1 1930’s: 1.5 (the Lincoln presidential parade car is a 1939 model with a 1942 update). 1940’s: 2.5 1950’s: 7 1960’s: 11 1970’s: 9 1980’s 4 1990’s: 2 2000’s: 2 2010’s: 0 2020's: 1 By Manufacturer:Premium & Collectibles Trading Co: 10 Vanguards: 5 Trax: 5 Goldvarg: 5 Minichamps/Maxichamps: 4 Somerville: 3 Matrix: 2 Avenue 43: 2 One each from: Auto Cult, Oxford, and Franklin Mint. The Break OutClass of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Premium & Collectibles Trading (PCT): A couple of these I'm really not sure of their origins, but as far as I can tell, all ten of these models are part-work issues under various trade names. Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Trax Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Goldvarg Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Vanguards Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Minichamps/Maxichamps Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Somerville. This will probably be the high-water mark for my Somerville collecting. Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Dream Cars, Prototypes, One-Offs, and Stillborns: 6. This is a huge number for this category. Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Trucks: 5. Only one Transit and no F-Series. Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Of the 41 models purchased in 2023, they breakout as follows by decades: 1920s: 1 1930s: 1.5 (the Lincoln Presidential Parade Car is a 1939 with a 1942 update) 1940s: 2.5 1950s: 7 1960s: 11 1970s: 9 1980s: 4 1990s: 2 2000s: 2 2010s: 0 2020s: 1 Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr North American Fords: 18 Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr British Fords: 14 Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr European Fords: 3. This is a very low number for this category. Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Australian Fords: 6 Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr New Releases for 2023 (I think): 13 Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr A new category called "Replacements". Models intended to replace similar inferior models or damaged models. The Transit rally support van would also be in this category. Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Resin cars collected from Trax, Goldvarg, Matrix, Avenue 43, and Auto Cult. For the first time ever, no Neos. Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Oldest and youngest: 1927 Lincoln Model L Touring Car by Franklin Mint and 2021-23 Ford Mustang Mach 1 by Vanguards.

Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Awards and RecognitionsClass of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Award Winners, Most Disappointing and Most Anticipated: One way to describe it is as a 1969 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler Cale Yarborough Special "wanna-be" with a Ford Torino dash. I borderline regret buying this model. I been looking forward to a MK V Cortina for a long time. This model happens to be the final Cortina built at Dagenham. Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Award Winners, Least Expected and Favorite: The Mk II Zodiac from Matrix was a complete surprise and was a must have as I have an identical (but LHD) 1:1. The 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 from Trax is just my favorite model of the year and is as close to flawless as Trax has ever come (in fact I think it is flawless). Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Award Winners, Best Deal and Most Expensive: I bought the PCT Lincoln Town Car and two others from the Cars of Mexico part-work series for about US $15.00 each from an Italian e-bay seller. The Trax Ford Custom was from a UK e-bay action that got out of hand (happy to have it though). Class of 2023 by Michael, on Flickr Award Winner, Best Value: 1973 Ford Maverick Grabber by PCT from the American Cars part-work series. Great level of detail for the money.

Great acquisitions Michael! I'm almost done collecting Volkswagens simply because there are very few models left to collect. I suspect it's the same for you, new releases excepted.

On a personal note, today is my first day of being officially retired! Because I'm relatively young, I decided to delay collecting some of my retirement income which will result in a two-year period of significantly reduced income. With that in mind I predict that my new acquisitions next year will be notably smaller. Fortunately, there are still a few Greenlight models out there that I haven't collected yet.
