Again, any of those would keep me entertained for a long time. It's about all I do for fun anymore Tom. The Crestline series of book are masterpieces. They generally have just about every car the subject company ever made and a brief description of each. The Ford and Ford truck books shown above are part of the series. As a former Studebaker owner, I have many books on the subject. this one takes a Monday Morning Quarterback view of where things went wrong. Every book collection needs a couple of these general interest types, you always find some neat information while leafing through them.

I have more than a few of those too and most date back to my youth. The specialised books are, again, very interesting.

Any book with an author named Bones is worth a look! 😀 I'd not seen the Pit & Paddock book. I'm intrigued!
Just had a look for the Pit & Paddock book. Yowser! Not cheap! Nice edition for your library Jeff!

I have more than a few of those too and most date back to my youth. The specialised books are, again, very interesting. Sometimes you want a focused read and sometimes you want to just scan pages. They both have their good points and uses. What get me is so many books just regurgitate the same info over and over. Any book with an author named Bones is worth a look! 😀 I'd not seen the Pit & Paddock book. I'm intrigued! Just had a look for the Pit & Paddock book. Yowser! Not cheap! Nice edition for your library Jeff! Bentley is a bigger than life person and has the ability to make everyone feel like he is a friend. I am sure you would enjoy the read. Here is a little interview with him. The Pit & Paddock book was a bit dear but its a good one.

Interesting idea to photograph one’s books! On my Facebook account I usually post the books and magazines I read…so maybe… I also really love Crestline series books! Informative and so enjoyable!

Well, quite a few of these books cost much more than a diecast (or 2) so why not Crestline series is a good one for sure.

With all those Indy books it's only fitting that you got to attend the event Jeff! It does seem like the stars and planets aligned. So I know that a large portion of the Forum has great passion for LM. It is that way for me and Indy so you will see my Le Mans books somewhat limited. I am only interested in the late 50's through the 70;s for the most part so I do not have much coverage. This first one is a book I wanted for a long time, just didn't want to pay the price for just being interested in the Ford years. Since getting it I have found the entire book to be very enjoyable. Pretty much the same story on the next one but I did want something that covered the 80's/90's as I widened my horizons a bit over the years. And lastly, I really wanted to learn more about this tragic event than the story I heard from the masses over the years.Quite an interesting read and it puts a decidedly different perspective on the event than I had formed in my mind.

Interesting selection, Jeff! 🙂
As you know, I’m not much into racing but, I wouldn’t mind a good book about LeMans!

Quite the collection of Indy books. Books on the old roadsters would be interesting to me. You would probably enjoy the Rolla Vollstedt Story (on Amazon pretty cheap). I have to admit he is a local legend but was involved in building cars that ran the 500 for many years and is an Indy institution. His co-author is an acquaintance as well, so there is some bias there as well. 😀
Le Mans books are good!

Great Indy collection Jeff. I like the look of the Ludvigsen series - a good introduction I'm guessing.
I have the Brooklands Le Mans book, along with the others in the series. They are a good read and being period reports they capture the events well.

You've managed to put a Le Mans book on my list. Excellent, I owe you a couple since I have just spent some money because of you. Great Indy collection Jeff. I like the look of the Ludvigsen series - a good introduction I'm guessing. I have the Brooklands Le Mans book, along with the others in the series. They are a good read and being period reports they capture the events well. Ludvigsen books are generally just captioned pictures but still very enjoyable. I do enjoy the period reports. Just a few biographies to show next. Not much explanation needed as to why any of them are here. These Karl Ludvigsen books are much more than captioned pictures. Phil Henney was instrumental in the Shelby racing exploits And Peter Bryant was very involved in Can Am racing, I like books like this because you get some great stories about how things really were.
