It's been a little while but I've finally got back to filming some models and as such, the final of the run in models by decade.
Thanks Alfa - do try to find things that match up reasonably well with what's in the video. I realised when watching back that video that the Arrows livery was actually damaged down the sides so I've had to attempt a repair with....adequate results.

Various people on youtube who upload model car related videos seem to propose 'challenges' to others on the platform.
I'd wanted to do a video on oddball/unique racers for a while as these are often some of my favourite models, so this became an enjoyable video to make as well as a little 'challenge' to others.
As a quick side note, I had originally used Moon Over Castle (known from Gran Turismo) as the music for this one but the copyright owner decided to block it everywhere rather than just claiming it which was nice, so I just had to chuck on some fairly naff generic Youtube music, hence the somewhat painful soundtrack.

A wonderful collection of oddballs - many wouldn't win too many prizes in a beauty contest.
Always happy to see the Breadvan and a Cisitalia, and the Australian Donut King Lamborghini is a nice touch.

Finally got some spare time and watched your latest video's. Excellent stuff, you really have this under control. I wouldn't do anything differently, if I'd be able to get to this quality anyway...

Got to love the Breadvan. I'd not heard of Cisitalia until recently but the Starline models are quite nice and not particularly expensive. The Countach I'm pretty pleased with - the old plastic windows are a little scuffed but you can't have everything. Another Bburago toy conversion in the video below I'm sure you would be able to get to this quality fairly easily Tom - it's a pretty cheap setup. Still planning on getting better editing software (which I used to have but the license ran out), to be able to make something beyond these pretty basic videos. I put a quick poll on the Youtube channel to ask about which type of models to feature next and GT machines from the 90s won. I managed to get around to videoing the models yesterday and uploading it today:

Great job as usual- superb selection of cars too. My fave is the AE86, what a bonkers machine!

Another wonderful piece of work. It reminds me that supercars these days are all starting to look a bit same-y.

Found some motivation and time to put together another video. The little poll I had put on my channel had 3 options and 70s Prototypes came second so it's now been done (there were three votes...it was 2-1 for 90s GT and 80s Touring Cars is next). I've updated the AE86 a little since the last video as it was some sort of copy of an Ebbro model and was missing a few bits of detail, so I've added them. I agree - even if supercars in some sense are shaped quite differently, a lot of them look very similar due to trying to look very technical and futuristic, with hard angles and lots of LED lights.

Finally purchased some slightly better video editing software and following on from someone else on youtube who I chat with, posting a top 10 video and asking others to do the same, this is my top ten. This time the models are filmed at a slightly different angle, with slower rotation and also a bit of a voice over. I've got a much faster connection now, so time for some 4K videos Hopefully this one comes across well.

Excellent work, a real upgrade over the previous videos which were very good already. You have a great voice for this, you tell the story well in an interesting way without faltering and concentrating on both the car and the model equally. I hope you get lots of YT views, it deserves them.

A fantastic piece of work - a standing ovation from me. For my 20c worth, out of these cars/models my Podium would have to be (in no particular order) the F40, the Mazda and the Rover - and I was old enough to see and remember the Group A racers . I've been revisiting the 1985/86 Group A seasons in Australia recently and I have been reminded of why it is a favourite era of mine - the last decent era of touring car racing over this way in my view. The TWR Rovers visited us for the 1984 Bathurst 1000 where they won the Group A class, although the race was still dominated by the about to be extinct "Group C" Australian touring cars. A couple of plucky privateers, Tim Slako (lurid pink version) and John Donnelly, had Vitesse Group A cars however they were generally mid-to-rear grid runners at best, being low budget private entries that lacked the development of the front running cars.
