Given that money is getting a little tight in the UK thanks to all the craziness going on around the mini budget and the fallout from that, I decided not to renew my 500PX membership which will mean most of my pictures will disappear. As an early birthday/Christmas present, I've been lucky to be gifted a model turn table and some other bits to start making videos again, so this new thread will be for posting links to the Youtube videos.
Hopefully this will be a nice way to show some models off as well. This first video is a bit of a test setup and I hope to improve it over time, with better lighting and sorting out the backdrop.
This first one is some of the 90's Japanese Touring Car Championship vehicles I have, from the beginnings in Group A through to Super Touring.
The editing software is pretty basic at the moment which doesn't allow for too much in terms of effects or transitions but it's probably best to sort out the setup first before trying any fancy editing.
Please let me know your thoughts on this if you have any suggestions. I'm looking to try and focus more light on the models and keep the background darker and I'll be doing the next video in my mini photobooth which may well help.

That's a great selection of cars from a wonderful era of touring car racing, and a nice job on the video. It's good to see some of the more unusual Japanese cars and liveries.

Thanks everyone - coming to the conclusion that this may be a better way (once I have the setup just right at least), to share the models anyway as it quickly covers all angles of the model.
Next one is done which is a number of the Ferrari racing models. This one ended up a little too bright, so further practice needed but it took quite a while to capture the video so I didn't want to waste that time.

Like this one too. You managed to get the models exactly in the middle of the turntable, which makes it look very professional. Also the switch from one model to the next is done well, the end is in the same position as the start of the next model which makes it look seamless. Fix the lighting (on the camera, probably) and it’s perfect.

Thanks again for the feedback and comments.
I think it's pretty much there now, at least with the equipment I currently have. It's perhaps spinning a little quickly but it's not overly clear on how you set the rotation speed on the turntable...so the last thing to figure out.
Either way, where there's Ferrari, James Mangold has told us that Ford should surely follow.

Very cool. I like it lot and this is definitely the way forward for all of us.
It would be good to slow down the rotation. If you can't do that physically, could you slow it down with your video editing software?

Excellent. I like the mirrored turntable too. As Ian said, slow it down some and it'd be perfect.

Thanks everyone - I will look at slowing the rotation a little. It can certainly be done in the editing software although this could leave it a little choppy as it records at 30FPS for now. I have been busy re-recording the JTCC and Ferrari videos, along with making a Porsche video and one for the Toyota & Nissan rivalry. These are all shown below: Hopefully at some point I can monetise these to get a little bit back (towards new models of course!)

I think these are spot on WRT placement, lighting, focus and editing. Very impressed.
