Thanks guys, it didn't get many views but that's life Model car videos would never get that many anyway I'd imagine. I record in Audacity and then re-do bits when I don't like them/cut gaps out etc... so the end result sounds a bit better than it would otherwise do. In terms of the Group A SD1s, I have three of them and I know there is one more out there that isn't a custom model, which is the 1984 ETCC version by Neo. I plan to get that eventually but it's pretty rare and expensive now. It's time for another video, with the voiceover/editing and the like, they do take a little longer to put together now but hopefully this one works as well as the prior video. This was made to highlight some nice recent purchases:

Nice video and additions, mate! My favorite is, undoubtedly, the Auto Union! Considering it as a 1930s classic, I should add one to my collection!

The excellent quality of your videos allows me to overcome the fact that there are no "red" cars, so I can't pick a favourite . The XJ13 is interesting as a guy has a very good replica that he uses in local historic racing. The 908/03 is a good-looking little racer, but as far as visuals go, I can't go past the Nissan. I always enjoy your work, and will be waiting patiently for the next video - '80s touring cars, yes please!

Fantastic presentation...you've raised the bar for all of us.
The Jaguar looks amazing, but I'm also a fan of the Nissan (a model we share).

While the XJ13 is the tops for me, I really like the Porsche 908. Great job on making the video, very well done!

Thanks again everyone. I've picked up a few other vintage racers in the meantime, so they'll likely end up in a video at some point.
It's been a while and whilst I did look at going for a video with solely 80s tourers, in the end I'm preferring keeping it varied so this is another video of models that have been picked up somewhat recently:

Another cracking video, amazing work.
My votes will have to go to the last two -I already missing the awesome GTE cars, their GT3 replacements are good, but not as exciting.
To answer your questions about Chaz Mostert, while I am no V8 Supercar fan and am not up to date with the goings on in that Championship, from what I believe he has managed to cross the Ford-GM divide very well and has a loyal (and large) band of followers.

Thanks as always guys. Sounds like Mostert is the outlier - maybe it's just overblown or a thing of the past but I thought Ford vs Holden could almost cause riots at times.
It's been a long time but I had some holiday so got round to working on another video:

Again, very nice video! My favourite models are the beautiful Stratos and that great looking Bentley!

Thanks for another interesting and varied presentation. I have to give the Stratos my primary vote, such an iconic vehicle. I'll also give a nod to the Manta, Williams, and Bentley. As you say the Bentley shouldn't work on the race track, but under the "bring 'em all" Balance of Performance rules in GT3 racing it has a place. I do remember seeing these monsters at the Bathurst 12 Hours a couple of times, including their win there in 2020.
To go back to your comments re the Ford-Holden rivalry in Australian tin-top racing, yes it is very deep and goes back along way. I doubt it's as strong anywhere else, even in NASCAR where to my uneducated eyes the rivalries seem to be more around the drivers and not the brands. While I grew up with my feet very much planted in the Blue camp the ridiculousness of a large part of the fanbase when it comes to "their" brand is one of the reasons I lost interest in the series back in the '90s just check the comments of any local motorsport website and you only have to read a couple of comments before the trolls and d**kheads appear! I well remember going to a V8 round in Canberra in the early 2000s wearing a Peugeot cap and being yelled at by both Ford and Holden supporters - just as well I have broad shoulders!
When I was a fan in the '70s and '80s, even if you were a Ford or Holden fan, there were at least other brands to follow. Now it is just the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro as the local Falcon and Commodore cars are no longer made. The organiser have spent many years trying to get other brands involved, to no avail. There is now a push in some quarters to just adopt NASCAR rules - that really will be the end!
