I can't believe it, I haven't started my collection thread so far?.. I guess I was too lazy to copy-past my last updates from 2021-beginning of 2022 to this forum, hopefully I will fix this over time. So let's start a new year with a nice but odd looking car: AutoCult Renault Projet 900 (1959) This will never be the most beautiful Renault concept, but I just couldn't miss it in my collection! The awkward looking "reverse shape" car concept was started earlier, around 1957 with Projet 600 and later it evolved into '59 Projet 900 (the golden car) with posterior designs of a similar shape green car and further pale colour "hatch" by Ghia. The golden coloured car is a 6-seater, engine is mounted in the rear so the trunk is actually a small cargo area located behind the rear seats. The idea was to maximize the interior space for travellers. First design proposal Second design proposal Third design proposal (Ghia): Model released in August 2020:

Pictures of those were in the 1970s Renault 'brochure books' (they didn’t issue separate brochures, but instead did one book for the entire range) in the 'history' section. I used to think they were manipulated pictures. How could anyone mess up a car that much? I love the model, a very fond memory for me.

That's a car suffering from schizophrenia if ever there was one. A great model.

I can't say I like this trompe l'oeil car, a concept that was never going to catch on. Awkward and ungainly but it's good to see AC making models of such oddballs and they have done a great job with it as have you with the photography which is spot on. Welcome back.

General impressions today are probably the same as back in the 60ies I just feel grateful for AutoCult making these items in our scale! So many more to come.. Well at least one honest expression

...and I thought Citroen was the only French manufacturer who made strange looking cars.
Have you decided which way round to display it in your cabinet?

Great model, Autocult did a nice job. And like so very often with Autocult: the real thing is hiddeous

I currently don't have a cabinet, so all cars stay in their boxes.. I think the best way to display this one would be sideways Great model, Autocult did a nice job. I remember how impressed I was with that first Colani Testarossa concept, back in the 80s!
Has it been done as a 1:43?

That cannot be anything else than a Colani creation. They always look like he's attacked a conventional design with a blowtorch... if you're serious about concepts, your collection needs at least one. Like this a lot.
