I love both sides and even like the fact that it's asymmetric. Great model!

I agree on your thoughts on the van.

That’s a beautiful model of a very attractive concept!
I’m with you, Paulius, I love its left side, aren’t thrilled about the other side, but absolutely love the fact that it’s asymmetrical and that it works!
I still remember the very negative reaction of my instructor, the wonderful Harry Bradley, during one of my early terms at Art Center, when I dared propose an asymmetric design (I was crazy about the odd stuff designed by Exner in the early 60s). He said that asymmetry hardly ever worked on cars! 😬

Naturally I lean more towards the Porsche 919 Street Paulius. It actually reminds me more of the wingless Peugeot 9X8 Le Mans Hypercar than a Porsche. Great looking model though.

I think the asymmetry is a good deal of the charm of this concept! Apart from some concepts the only asymmetrical car that comes to my mind is the 3-door Hyunday Veloster, which had a great video ad campaign, but I am not quite sure if the car was commercially succesful. Nissan Cube had some design elements but was(is) not completely assymetrical. Naturally I lean more towards the Porsche 919 Street Paulius. It actually reminds me more of the wingless Peugeot 9X8 Le Mans Hypercar than a Porsche. Great looking model though. It's a stunner! So no wonder you like it more

How about the DS X E Tense concept.... ....although, admittedly, it is a concept, it's not a great advert for asymmetry!

I've seen the car IRL, and it looks stunning. On pictures it always looks weird because your mind thinks it is symmetrical. But walking around it, very special car. (Do I like it? I really don't know...)

Yep this Citroen is a good example, but again, just a concept! My long time favourite is Plymouth XNR (got the Matrix):

My long time favourite is Plymouth XNR (got the Matrix): I love the XNR! ❣️❣️❣️ Back in 2011 or 2012 I was in Monterey (California) and happened to see it being pushed onto a car transporter, along with some other cars. They all had just been sold at an auction! Unfortunately, precisely that day, I forgot my cell phone in the hotel and wasn’t able to take photos!

Plymouth is cool, I got the BoS version - not much between them and it's cheaper and in a proper box. I have the Norev version and, like you, I'm not sure if I like it. It is definitely different though and it does look good from some angles....

It's been a while since I posted.. to wrap up the year I'll show my latest acquisition - long pre-ordered and awaited, but received yesterday my biggest and heaviest 1/43 model so far: AutoCult Chevrolet Turbo Titan III (1966)
A very important member of my growing concept trucks topic! It was built as a functional semi trailer truck powered by futuristic gas turbine engine.. after rolling across the country for several years it is said to be scrapped by 1969 or so (typical destination for most American concept cars). Autocult did a nice job showing the opened headlamps (they could be closed/folded on the real thing), and shows a rather rudimentary interior through softly blue-tinted windows, being the most prominent feature the lack of a standard steering wheel - there are 2 coupled joystics that turn the wheels. I am very happy with the model, it looks accurate, and comes in a slightly upgraded packaging: thick and heavy plexiglass cover, paper lined base and velvet fabric underside hiding the screws. Not sure if you can remove the trailer from the tractor though.. Will not take the risk and for the moment keep it in storage as is. The figures are by North Star Models and the mechanic probably from French partworks series (don't remember which one).

That is fantastic and now I want one! Plus it's a Chevy so that's a bonus for me. Love it.
