Thank you Tom. The Torino is a reminder of how high we were in the past. And the Nurburgring Marathon was the peak of those high time. At least, we have the reminds! Very attractive, another I wish IXO would do There are several Torinos from partwork, I think I remember 4 or 5 models. They are not wonderful, but they can fill the gap in the collection, you should find them in Ebay at a reasonable cost.

Torino Ambrosio This Torino for civil use (not race). I know it has not the fierce presense of the racing ones, but it includes some little details that mean a lot of love on it. For example, the antenna and door handles. For example, the cockpit. Model is made in resin by Gustavo Ambrosio, hope you like it. That's All Folks! Gaucho Man

Torino - Inolvidables Salvat This was our first partwork Torino. We had never had a Torino, except for the Bubys at a very high price. We were all awaiting the diecast Torino, there were lots of expectations. Every collector, every fan, everybody wanted a 1/43 Torino. And one day, the partwork Torino was for sale, a modest offer against a gigant demand. All this energy, all expectations, just to discover the Torino was fat, high, overinflated. May be we were so severe with the design, but somehow, we all felt cheated. There were other models of the same partwork that were excellent reproductions, lots of details, perfect proportions. The partwork featured Torino Comahue (fastback), Tiwle (cabrio), Torino S (4 doors), Torino S Police, Torino ZX (coupe, last version). But the most of the Torinos, all using different moulds, were all featuring the same problems. Now, please check photos below, let´s play to spot the differences: The waistline so high? The roof so high? The front part so fat? The bonnet so curved? The wheels so small The height from floor so elevated? The back so high too? The rear roof pilar so thin? The rear roof pilar in bad angle? The line from the rear wheel is not horizontal (this is a fact, not a question) Now, please feel free to share your opinions. If you need me, I will be crying in the wardrove. That's All Folks! Gaucho Man

I know how it feels, I guess we all do, when a much anticipated model finally arrives and it's so bad. What a shame.

It's happened to me, several times, eagerly awaiting a long desired model of a favourite car only to be disappointed by an inaccurate reproduction! Still, and in spite of its inaccuracies, it looks fairly decent!

They sure did their best to remove the good looks of the original.

I know how it feels, I guess we all do, when a much anticipated model finally arrives and it's so bad. What a shame. Now we have to wait 500 years for Neo or Bizarre to make a new attempt. It's happened to me, several times, eagerly awaiting a long desired model of a favourite car only to be disappointed by an inaccurate reproduction! Still, and in spite of its inaccuracies, it looks fairly decent! Do not be optimistic, you are looking at the half full glass, but there is another half empty glass. The same partwork had a lot of excellent reproductions, and the worse was this one! They sure did their best to remove the good looks of the original. Yep, and they succeeded, they were very efficient on this task! Thanks for comments and likes!

Torino Nurburgring - 3D This is a set of 3 Torinos, bought eight years ago. Eight years ago, the 3D technology was rather primitive, at least in our country. Thus, the models did not feature transparent nor interiors. The set included a base with an image of the Torinos. For the fan it may have been very interesting. Personally, I only wanted the cars. In terms of shape, proportions and scale, they were much better than the partwork. They featured some metal inserts, but no photoetched windscreen wipers. That's All Folks! Gaucho Man

Those are very nice, the shape seems to be much more correct than the PW model.
