That’s beautiful, both as a car and as a model! I agree, it looks fantastic! Never heard of it but very pretty car. I wouldn't mind one of these. Wonderful looking little fun car. Thanks for All comments. It was a nice attempt, and a very important achievement, moreover if we consider that it was designed by a young student.

Volkswagen Gol My first car was a Citroën 2CV. After my first car, I had a brief season with a Renault 12 from my father and finally, I got my first new car. This is a VW Gol, a model exclusive for Latin America, and Mexico (I'm never sure if Mexico can be considered as Latin America). In Mexico, it was produced under the name Fox (Julio, please confirm!). It featured Audi AP engine, 1.6 in my case. Variants: 2 doors, 4 doors and familiar. The model is a chinese product, bought in the days I could buy from Ebay (circa 2009). After this model, I have known that Salvat issued a Gol in their Inolvidables PW, and it was a different mold, may be better from this one. In fact, if you compare with the photo of the real car, this little Gol has an extremely aerodynamic windscreen, different from the real car (besides, note four doors instead of two). The cards are a marketing strategy of VW, that consisted on reproducing some toy cards that used to be very popular in Argentina when I was a kid. That's All Folks! Gaucho Man

Nice model of a very popular VW! It sold extremely well in Mexico!
And, answering your question(s)…
Yes, in Mexico it was also sold as a “Gol”!
And, of course, we’re part of Latin America (we speak Spanish). You’re probably confused by the fact that we’re the only Latin American country that is part of North America, the others being Canada and the US.

I know about the spanish language, but I was confused by the geographic "north" condition. Thanks a lot for clarifying!

You won't be surprised to read that I have the same model Eduardo, I got mine from China many years ago and it's the same colour as yours. It was my first Gol model and I still like it a lot.

Or the Pointer was another car? You won't be surprised to read that I have the same model Eduardo, I got mine from China many years ago and it's the same colour as yours. It was my first Gol model and I still like it a lot. The world is very small! I understand there is another version in red (same mold, same maker, but in red) It's always good to be able to get a 1:43 of you 1:1s. Yep, and very sad when no maker produces your model

Renault Fuego GTA Max - Salvat Inolvidables PW The Renault Fuego was produced in Argentina from 1982 to 1992. In Europe, it was a little car with a little engine, however in Argentina, it was top of the line and featured 2000 cc. Pictured above, the ultimate version (1991, named Fuego GTA Max) had 2200 cc and a restyling that deleted all the black plastic parts of the body. In my opinion, this last version looked much better than the initial one. Salvat included in the Inolvidables PW a horrible green Fuego initial version, and later a red GTA. There were a lot of expectations for this GTA version, and Salvat did its best effort to make the worst possible reproduction. Let's see: Initial Fuego and GTA Max version only differed in the black parts of the body being replaced by new panels of the of the same color of the body. Both cars had the same dimensions. Salvat/Ixo had all the dimensions form producing the initial version. They only had to copy and paste dimensions and erase the black plastic inserts. It was easy, but they did not do it. Summarizing, the GTA Max by Salvat looks more a brick than a car. This is another reason for hating Salvat and it's Inolvidables PW. Someday, I will make up my green fuego to look like a GTA Max. BONUS TRACK Solido low cost version: Ixo not PW Galgo racing Fuego (this is more a toy, made in plastic with a small friction device) The Fuego was an epic opponent of the Ford Sierra in the TC2000 (similar to TC with maximum 2000cc). That's All Folks! Gaucho Man

Nice models, especially the silver one! I loved the Fuego ever since its introduction. Unfortunately, it was never available in Mexico, even when the 18 was extremely successful.

I wanted a Fuego for my first car. BTW, it was available here as a 1.7 or 2.0. I have the silver version and a Minichamps in blue.

Individual and good looking. I have the MC Fuego in blue and would say that's the best version in the best colour.
