All those different colours enhance the detail. You're going at quite the pace, how many hours a day do you spend building on average? Not that many, really. I can at this time of year get an hour in before work usually and then an hour afterwards but not always so somewhere between and hour and two. When I go into the office then its less and if i'm WFH then I might get a bit. Trick is to plan ahead to make sure things are painted and dry long before you need them Nice results, so far! This thread is reminding me of the days, quite frustrating days, when I tried to build a couple of models, back during the late 70s early 80s! Thanks Julio
Back then I was doing the same, and it was I recall frustrating, mainly due to my lack of patience. Nowadays, I can wait till the paint and/or glue is dry before moving along
Some further progress
Rear lower suspension arms in the booth
Cockpit meets floor with help from a big clamp
Rear hubs and axles built up
Painting discs/calipers and front uprights
Painting rear hubs/axles
Painting the front hubs
Discs meets rear hub
Painting the front lower suspension and underfloor
Both rear hubs with discs attached

That's a lot of detail to paint! Clever idea to do some work in the morning and some in the evening, that gives the paint time to dry.

That's a lot of detail to paint! Clever idea to do some work in the morning and some in the evening, that gives the paint time to dry. Yes plenty, the trick is to paint if you can only what you can see It does and if you plan and paint things well ahead of when needed then the kit goes together pretty fast
Further progress
Rear lower wishbones attached and front underfloor painting finished
Rear hubs and axles added
Front suspension uprights added
Lower front floor/wishbones added, painting begun on front wheels and front tyres scrubbed

Scrubbing the tyres is essential for realism. I'd leave the body off, shame to hide all that effort.

Considering the amount of work involved, this is progressing at a rapid rate!

Scrubbing the tyres is essential for realism. I'd leave the body off, shame to hide all that effort. It is, and it also tends to remove the central mould line as well. I will be doing just that withthe rear deck
Gee Andy, that’s looking great! Thanks Julio Super fiddly suspension. But I can see you are just the one to be taking this on.I wopuld have peobably given up by now. Yes but compared to some not too bad Thank you, but as kits go Tamiya tend to be one of the easier builds
Considering the amount of work involved, this is progressing at a rapid rate! Not perhaps as much as it looks. Mainly painting Cheers Paul

Nice work! I suspect that for good cover you will need to add a few more coats of blue...
