Nice stuff! I like the lower one best, compact and useful. Between you and me, so do I. Great choices Jeff! While the Harbor Freight is example is more to my budget, the smaller example is an absolute beacon of beautiful design - form AND function. I sort of bought the HF just to see how good/bad it was. It was much betetr than the price would indicate. Took few photos of my Victorinox multitool, and compiled them into one pic: Very nice. I have never felt comfortable carrying a Multitool despite trying a number of times. I do keep one in my get home bag though. This is a Gerber

Another dirt cheap Swiss Army Knife rescue, this one looks like they used it to open a lot of boxes that had some very sticky glue or tape and then got it all over their hands and then all over the knife. After cleaning off all of the dirt and gunk and a few minutes on the buffing wheel, a quick sharpen and some oil, I have a almost brand new knife. Victorinox Hunstman And in the new and cheap category. I saw this Morakiniv copy at Walmart for a whopping $3. Like a lot of the cheap knives i get, this one will be given away, I was just curious what it would be like. Much better than the price would indicate.

I like the blue Swiss Army knife. Nice rescue! Thanks, its one of my favorites. Picked up this next one for a few reasons. First, it was only $8, second it is one of my favorite versions, the Tinker. And lastly the Company logo is one from a firm that I work in their facilities. It is an old line trucking company that used to sponsor Indy cars in the 50's. Same process, cleaning, sanding out the scratches, buffing, sharpening and oiling. I seem to have a thing for black SAK's All of my medium and large frame minus a few I have given away.

They are all so purposely beautiful Jeff! I really I hope can find at least one of my old ones when unpacked? They are both nostalgic yet very useful! Truth be told, I'd find far more utility with one today than when I received my old ones decades ago... You really keep (or refurbish) them to an enviable state

You really keep (or refurbish) them to an enviable state I do find beauty in their quality but even more in their usefulness. And I am very happy to find something that works so well for pennies.Plus there is a large learning curve associated with them and that is part of the fun!
