Wow, I have not posted in on is thread in a year, but in the last year I have received several Australian Ford models. Trax Ford Zodiac and Zephyr by Trax by Michael, on Flickr Mk II Ford Zephyr, Zodiac, and Zephyr Coupe Utility, all by Trax. First and Last Falcon Set by Trax by Michael, on Flickr I didn't need another XK Falcon, but the FGX XR6 Sprint is a very desirable model for me as it is very similar (but not identical) to the very last Falcon built in October 2016. The car also represent two other major milestones, the last Australian manufactured Ford and the last I-6 Ford built anywhere in the world. First and Last Falcon Set by Trax by Michael, on Flickr

XK Falcon Comparison of Resin and Die Cast Models by Trax. Trax XK Falcon Comparison, Die Cast and Resin by Michael, on Flickr I have always thought of Trax's XK Falcone as one their better releases. Now they have redone the model in Resin and it is interesting to compare. The Resin is more detailed and also noticeably smaller. Yes, I am a good customer and I hope that the Trax organization appreciates that. I have kind of a love-bemused relationship with them. There are e-bay sellers who provide more professional service and communication. Like the the models themselves, the quality is uneven. I am a member of a Trax collector group on Facebook and let me tell you there are some over the top Trax collectors out there.. way more then me. Australian Fords by Trax by Michael, on Flickr

I don't think the steerable front wheels are contributing to the problem. I also have CC's XW model and it's stance is perfect. I hadn't considered the idea of a removable petrol tank, I'll give it another try and report back. I see that the XW does have screw in the front, but the other two don't. Thanks.

Comparison: 1949 Ford Custom Coupe Utility and 1951 Ford Deluxe Coupe Utility by Trax Sidevalve Ford V8s by Trax by Michael, on Flickr The '51 ute seems to have better details than the 49, which came out a few years ago. In this photo, the '49 appears to be slightly wider, which make me think that as similar as these two are, they me be different castings. Ford Coupe Utilities (1949 and '51) by Trax by Michael, on Flickr Trax says that the color of the '51 is "tan", and they make a second version in "ivory" but I think the model is actually closer to ivory. Whichever color it is, it seems like a very period appropriate color, unlike the orange-red of the '49. Ford Coupe Utilities (1949 and '51) by Trax by Michael, on Flickr I'm not sure what kind of taillights the '49 is supposed to have, but this model doesn't have any. I'm glad that the situation was corrected on the '51. Ford Custom Coupe Utility Interior (1949) by Trax by Michael, on Flickr Ford Deluxe Coupe Utility (1951) by Trax by Michael, on Flickr
