It's quite easy to fix the open car's windscreen frame invisibly using epoxy glue.

Two Trax models arrived on my doorstep in August. The 1969 XW Falcon Surfer Roo show car/ute and a 1980 Ford LTD Cartier. I think much of this can be attributed to the lack of a chrome trim boarder around the entire unit. Kind of a mystery as to how it was possible for Trax not to get this right, it a pretty defining feature of the car. FC Ford LTD Cartier by Michael, on Flickr

Two pretty nice models of cars that I've never seen IRL. Great that you were able to source these for your collection.

Nice to see some "local" content.
The "Surfer Roo" logo must have been a play on the official "Super Roo" nickname that Ford Falcon racers of the time used.
I well remember the LTD coming on stream as part of the XD Falcon range. These cars were very much modern designs compared to the outgoing VC models. The LTD and Fairlane cousin were much loved by Governments and farmers.

That;s quite an extensive collection Paul. I would say the Fords are much better than the others , although the Bob Jane Camaro is a rare treat in 1:43.

That;s quite an extensive collection Paul. I would say the Fords are much better than the others , although the Bob Jane Camaro is a rare treat in 1:43. Thanks Martin, there are more road and race cars in my display cabinets which I will have to photograph one day. I met Bob Jane when I visited your country in 2004 to celebrate turning 50. Obviously I was there to go to the Bathurst race and then visit family and friends. I saw the Bob Jane crew with their transporter which had his Mk2 Jaguar and the Camaro on board and had a chat with them, they were quite surprised that I knew about the cars. Then Bob Jane came along and we had a brief chat, nice guy. The cars were there to be demonstrated and I have to say that the Camaro sounded evil with the 427ci big block, it may have been saying 'I am going to eat your children' . The model is a limited edition by Armco Model Cars, it's #446 0f 500.

I also visited Oz in (March) 2004 for the F1 GP in Melbourne. The cars in the support races were interesting too. I went to Ballarat to see friends but skipped visiting my relations in Sydney...
By way of a souvenir I brought back a Carlectable Holden SS VU UTE 50th Anniversary. Got the late Sir Jack Brabham to sign the box for me!
