275GTB is exquisite as one would expect from CMC and reflected in their prices. Am late to this 1:18 topic but was fortunate enough to see a 1:1 GTAm at Brooklands Italian Car Day a while ago. Probably an Alfa Demo car iand in that gorgeous green colour. Absolutely on CMC. Fortunately for me most of their subjects pass me by. I do wonder how many GTAms made it to this country. I'd say yours was a very rare sighting in the wild

Alfa Romeo had long been exploring a front-wheel drive car, but it took the building of a new factory in the late 60s before it became a reality. The resulting car, the Alfasud featured a 1.2 litre 4 cylinder Boxer engine, was introduced in 1971, and it was not until two years later that a further version became available in the form of the more sporting Ti. This car had the 4 round headlights, a little more power, spoilers front and rear and a better interior including carpets. 1977 saw the introduction of a 1.3 litre and the 1978 facelift saw the introduction of the 1.5 litre engine alongside cosmetic updates in the form of wheel arch extensions in black along with matching black front and rear bumpers and a rear spoiler plus a revised interior. 1980 saw further revisions mainly around the interior and the addition of twin carburettors before the final version appeared in 1983 featuring a tuned version of the 1.5 developing 105hp which was the models swansong as it was replaced the following year by the 33.

I have enjoyed the Cult models I have added to my collection. This appears to be a great rendition of the Alfa and see the appeal. Great add!

If I had the budget and the room, Cult Scale would soon get me through both. They do models nobody else makes, and they do so in high quality. This being a case in point- extremely tempting.

Wow! Gorgeous looking model! Yes, its a very nice model indeed I have enjoyed the Cult models I have added to my collection. This appears to be a great rendition of the Alfa and see the appeal. Great add! Likewise, each and every one of them that I have added has been excellent. Thank you If I had the budget and the room, Cult Scale would soon get me through both. They do models nobody else makes, and they do so in high quality. This being a case in point- extremely tempting. I think the same would apply to me! As above al the ones i have added have been excellent. I find myself looking forward to their new announcements I saw one of these in 1:1 today - wonderful car and a wonderful model!! Been a long time since i've seen a Sud in the flesh. They tended to dissolve. I'm thinking the model will last longer

Lamborghini begun development of the replacement for the Countach in 1985 with the design of the car being originally undertaken by Gandini however post the purchase of the company by Chrysler in 1987 the design was re-worked into what became the production car. Released in 1990 and powered by the existing 5.7 litre Lamborghini V12, the Diablo was good for 60 in less than 4 seconds and would go onto 200 mph. The 4-wheel drive VT followed in 1993 closely followed by the special edition SE30 released to celebrate the company's 30th anniversary which was limited to 150 cars and was essentially a road legal racing version which was around 140 kg lighter and 30 hp more powerful.
Lamborghini also offered a track only Jota version of which 28 complete kits were built of which 15 were factory fitted which offered a further power increase to 595 hp and a revised engine cover incorporating two ducts to ram air into the engine and a competition exhaust and of the remaining kits 11 were retro fitted by dealers and the reaming 2 were kept by Lamborghini as spares. At least 3 Jota SE30s have been road registered over the years, 2 in Germany and 1 in Japan plus one in the UK has been converted back to standard SE30 specification plus another has been converted using one of the spare kits into Jota specification.

'Slightly' better than my old Maisto. Proper '90s colour too.

Another Ex-Maisto SE30 owner here. I had a cull of my 1:18s and that one was disposed of a few years ago. Auto Art was (and still is) the biz. Very expensive for the time but excellent as per Andy's pics.

AA are certainly not cheap, but they are very good indeed. Probably only Almost Real & LCD that challenge them at the detail/price point, but the releases for them are few and far between, not usually what I'm interested in but also very hard to source

Looking back over this thread, which covers essentially the last 12 months of my 1/18 purchases, three things strike me: 1) I have been a good boy in this scale, at least
2) I seem to have a thing for Audi (who knew)
3) If it's not Audi then it's Italian I've been buying and the next one is no exception
So some of you will know I drive Alfa (in addition to the best car in the world that comes out twice a year, once to get it to the MOT test, and secondly to get it back some weeks later when it's been fixed) and have done so for a good few years. The GT came into the family from new in 2006 and up until last year was the top car on the drive (when the best car in the world wasn't out of its hidey hole that is) and the 156 was the daily/do everything car, but its demise last year saw a Giulietta arrive and the GT demoted to daily.
I knew Welly had made the GT is 1/18th in diecast, but they are none too common a find here and also strangely expensive when they turn up, though I did some years pick up one in silver which appears to be the most common colour for the model. I also knew they came in red and also black, and I've been keeping my eye out for the latter as it was I thought closest to my car. So I was somewhat surprised when my searches turned up a blue one that is very close to my 1/1s colour, was still sealed in its (admittedly battered) box, was in the UK and was going for a good price.
Mine So it turned up wrapped only in brown paper (Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh) and the postman had personally used it as a football all the way across the country. The box was more battered, not that that made much difference, but the model had divested itself of a lot of trim, for which Welly should be commended on for their accuracy.
So here it is - it's LHD not RHD, the interior is black and not light grey like mine and the model has a tremendous paint run on the rear 3/4 though I'm pleased to say the 1/1 doesn't and the shade of blue is a few shades lighter but essentially here is my 1/1 in 18th. I would also like to say the panel gaps on the 1/1 are better.

That is one good looking car😄. The model looks OK for one at the more budget end of the scale. The interior alone is more than acceptable - and quite familiar to me.

I like the GT, an agile and fun car to drive. Like the model a lot too, Welly has made big progress.

It's always fun to have a model of a 1/1 car you own, or have owned, even if it is not quite spot on to the 1/1 version. Nice add and congrats on the new wheels!
