My thoughts exactly and it's done to a very high standard for decent money. That's a rare combination in 1:18 these days.
Still hoping for a clutch of 1:43 1980s Audis. Solido has announced the RS2 Avsnt, so who knows...

The Triumph 2000 range debuted in 1963, but it wasn't until late 1968 that the larger engined fuel injected 2500PI was introduced with Lucas injection and of course a bigger 2.5 litre version of the straight six. It would be in production for only a year before the Mk2 was released in 1969 with revised styling, again by Michelotti, which would carry over the engines but introduced a third and fourth model in the range in the guise of the non-injected 25000 & 2500TC. The PI would remain top of the range and in production for 6 years selling nearly 50,000 units before it in turn was replaced by the 2500S.

Fantastic. A lot of attention to detail, even down to the correct typeface on the plates- most get it wrong, and that detracts from the model for me. Great colour too, I recall seeing them in this hue.

I was lucky enough to be given a ride around the Phillip Island race-track in a race-prepared one many years ago.

A lot of attention to detail, even down to the correct typeface on the plates- most get it wrong, and that detracts from the model for me. Great colour too, I recall seeing them in this hue. Cult are excellent in the detail/attention to detail/build quality/QC sphere As tot he colour i picked this because my memories of these were in this blue, or white

I think the looks and stance of this car is top notch. I have always been disappointed in my Vanguards 1:43 but this really shows how it is supposed to look.

Audi launched the third generation of the 100 in late 1982 and if differed from its predecessors by having very aerodynamic styling of which much was made of in contemporary adverts in the UK which majored on its coefficient of drag number being 0.3 and the Procon-Ten safety system all wrapped up with the now familiar tag line of Four Sprung Dwarf Technique. At launch power was provided by a wide range of engines which in petrol form started with the base I4 1.8 and went up to the 2.1 litre I5, and it could also be had with a 2 litre I5 diesel. There were 2 body styles, the standard saloon and the Avant and whilst all were FWD as standard, some models could be specified as a Quattro with 4WD plus the engine options changed throughout the lifecycle including turbo petrol and diesel options.
A minor facelift occurred in 1988 which also featured a slightly revised set of engines including the introduction of a petrol 2.3 litre I5 and 2.4 and 2.5 I5 turbo diesels before production ceased in late 1991 after just short of a million had been produced.

Very nice Andy, classic colour combo of Zermatt silver with the blue interior. I used to have the Chinese version in 1:18 (with working lights and horn) but this is undeniably the better model.

Absolute groundbreaking design. I know Euro Ford when 'aero' at the same time, but this design just seems more far more elegant and polished. Tom is right, silver/blue is a great color combo just as the frost green look so nice on this car's predecessor. I often say I am not really an 'Audi fan', but in this era they could do no wrong
