Jagermeister comes to Le Mans Max Moritz Jagermeister Racing had taken delivery of two new 934s from Porsche for the beginning of the 1976 season and both made their debut at the Nürburgring in the April and would go onto to compete in DRM and European GT for that season. Chassis 0167 was sold for the 1977 season however 0168 remained with Max Moritz for 1977 and would again compete in DRM that year albeit now in Valvoline colours before being repainted back into Jagermeister colours for 1978 briefly before another change of colours saw the car race in Weralit colours for 3 races. The car now back in Jagermesister colours would be a late entry under that of Herve Poulain in the Group 4 GT class with a driver line up of Hervé Poulain, Edgar Dören, Gerhard Holup & Roman Feitler who would qualify 1st in class and 32nd overall. Their race was plagued with issues from the outset, mainly transmission related, and they would drop back 10 places in the first hour however they were able to recover this and more reaching a high of 19th and the class lead after 7 hours but the following hour they were back down to 29th. Another recovery drive saw them reach 21st by half distance but after 15 hours the transmission was again playing up so they were back to 25th and then 30th in the following hour and then out when the gearbox seized after completing 167 laps.
Spark 1/18 - Porsche 934 – 1978 Le Mans 24 Hours - H.Poulain, E.Dören, G.Holup & R.Feitler - DNF
