Better a bad photo of a good painting, than a good photo of a bad painting
The thread continues to be interesting Thanks for your comments, BB! Nice, I like that painting. Thanks, Tom!

These were added in 2016. Both belonged to my father: 132A very good book with lots of delicious looking recipes, which I haven’t prepared, yet! 133Very much like the previous one, but in Spanish!

I'm of the opposite preparation school: if it takes longer to cook than to eat, it's a waste of my time. I envy people who are good cooks, and who enjoy doing it too.

While I do appreciate the skill and effort to make really great food, I find it all a waste to as it's just 'gone' after an hour or so. That's why my non-paid interests are much more geared toward house, home, yard & garden. I feel you actually have something to show for the planning and toil. However, everything is different and that's how life works best!

Well… The recipes in these two books need very little preparation, but a lot of cooking time! I'm of the opposite preparation school: if it takes longer to cook than to eat, it's a waste of my time. These were also bought in 2016, during a Christmas/New Years trip to Austin: 134An really beautiful and delightful book about this great fashion illustrator. It was an unbelievable bargain, at Half Price Books! 135This is a beautiful book about the extremely talented Alexander McQueen. 136This fabulous book was hard to ignore! Its content and overall design is absolutely terrific!

These were added in 2017: 137A huge, delightful, lavishly illustrated book about one of my favourite contemporary artists! A great gift from a dear friend! 138 A fun to read book about pop and rock music! Taking this photo made me realize that I never added the first book that I have from this “1001” series to my database so, that one will be shown when I’m done uploading the rest of my books to this thread. 139An excellent book that shows the best known techniques for product design sketching! 140A former student, now a friend of mine, gave me this wonderful book about the extremely talented Syd Mead!

That Syd Mead book would be a fascinating read! The Disco book takes me back. Probably doesn't have any of the ones I went to back in the day.

1001 records, hmmm... wonder which ones they picked. Exactly the type of books I love to go through. The Syd Mead book is great too.

The Syd Mead book is indeed a fascinating book! ”Discos” in Spanish means discs, records or albums, not discotheques, my friend! 1001 records, hmmm... wonder which ones they picked. Exactly the type of books I love to go through. The Syd Mead book is great too. The 1001 book has quite a varied selection and it’s extremely entertaining. I’m certain you’d enjoy it!

1001 Music book looks like my thing...before the internet. When I had my first very slow internet connection back in late 1995 the absolute first subjects I went looking for were cars and music! I can actually remember viewing some sort of primitive forum/chat where there were discussions of the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II! Also vaguely remember seeing a very early website for the rock band Queen at the same time. Fun to kind of reminisce about the early internet. Wish there were more discussions about that somewhere? Perhaps there are? Sorry for going waaaaayyyyy off topic

The "discos" book looks interesting Julio, I'm sure it would set off a few arguments . Coincidently I have just received a new vinyl version of Revolver .
