1001 Music book looks like my thing...before the internet. When I had my first very slow internet connection back in late 1995 the absolute first subjects I went looking for were cars and music! I can actually remember viewing some sort of primitive forum/chat where there were discussions of the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II! Also vaguely remember seeing a very early website for the rock band Queen at the same time. Fun to kind of reminisce about the early internet. Wish there were more discussions about that somewhere? Perhaps there are? Sorry for going waaaaayyyyy off topic Thanks for your interesting comments, BB! I’m sure that the internet has changed our lives and hobbies in many ways! The "discos" book looks interesting Julio, I'm sure it would set off a few arguments . Coincidently I have just received a new vinyl version of Revolver . You’re quite right, Martin! There’s quite a few of the recommended albums that I have and enjoy and some others that I’ve never liked and would never consider to be included in such a book! I love books about music. I have Getz/Gilberto, Dark side of the moon and OK computer and love them very much. I also have the Getz/Gilberto and Dark Sidebof the Moon albums. And also the ones shown from The Smiths and Madonna!

This one was added in December of 2018, during my trip to Austin to pick up and drive my 1966 Imperial home… 141This is a big, beautiful book with lots of very nice photos! Bought during a New Years sale at Half Price Books!

Excellent subject for a coffee table book. If only more of those old pictures were in colour...

Excellent subject for a coffee table book. If only more of those old pictures were in colour... The photos are so good and so big that you easily forget that they’re not in colour!

All these were added in 2021: 142This great book about Loewy’s work was ordered (to my cousin’s in Austin) in early 2019 but arrived home almost two years later! A must for anyone interested in design! 143An enjoyable book about this beautiful ship! As other books from this series it is packed with photos and information! 144This is the third of a series of three books about famous liners. It is not as good as the first one but nevertheless it’s quite enjoyable! 145From the excellent Dover series of maritime books, although in a slightly smaller size, this is a delightful work about the majestic looking, famous Queens of the Atlantic!

And, finally, these have been added this year (2022): 146Another great book from the Dover series, packed with great photos of beautiful ships, including my all time favourite (the SS Normandie) and lots of interesting information! 147This is the second book of the famous liners series. It is not as good as the first one but nevertheless it’s quite enjoyable! 148This excellent and thoroughly enjoyable book is from the same “1001” series as the one shown previously about pop and rock music. Posting this thread made me realize that I never added this book to my database. It was a gift from a dear friend, about ten years ago! …future additions to my non automotive book collection will be posted in this thread!

My latest addition… 149This one arrived yesterday, after waiting a couple of years in my Amazon wishlist! It’s a very interesting, thorough look inside the world of classical music, shown in a clear, fun and easy to read format!

I've found that Dorling Kindersley books generally do a great job explaining complex matters in an appealing way.

An impressive selection Julio. I occasionally visit our local Charity shops and check out their 'Transport' section. British steam trains and aircraft - especially Concorde - books are of most interest to me.
Newest one acquired last week was even signed by the author, albeit with a dedication to it's original recipient.
