You’ll see… 😬 I’ve just looked up “New Zealand railway cottages”! They look very nice! The Japanese sites book sounds very interesting. Agreed! 😉

I bought these in 1984… 12Although a bit dated, even at that time, marker sketching is essential for most designers, so this was a must. Eventually, I found and bought much better books about this same subject matter. 13A thoroughly delightful book about classic Dior! 14This thread will show you that I’m also quite interested in royalty. There are lots of old and interesting photos in this book, mostly from the early 1900s and specifically from Queen Victoria’s children. An ideal book to understand how tightly knitted were they with the rest of the European royal houses. 15I love architecture, so much so that for a long time I seriously considered becoming an architect. But, my love for cars was much stronger! This book is quite interesting, showing lots of contemporary (for that time) Mexican architecture, including some local buildings. Photo quality is rather poor. 16A delightful and quite varied book, filled with lots of nice photos of great ships! 17One more book about royalty, although this time it’s scope is far more varied and contemporary. 18A thin paperback book with lots of nice drawings, done for this movie mostly by Syd Mead! I remember the hype when 2010 was premiered, sadly it wasn’t as good as promised…

I like the marker rendering book a lot and would be interested to go though the Mexican architecture book.

Bought in 1985, a few months before graduating from Art Center… 19Just as good as the Star Wars book. Filled with amazing artwork with great ideas! Both of my book threads are now showing books bought at about the same time. I’ll try to keep them synchronized… 😬

I bought these in London, in 1985… 20I think that I have never told you that I love classical music! Well, I bought this book at Harrod’s during my trip to Europe, after I graduated from Art Center. It’s the first that I bought about music, it’s a joy to read and has been extremely helpful when exploring composers that I’m not familiar with! 21I could safely say that all of my books about ocean liners are quite enjoyable and, this one isn’t the exception. Bought at a book and model store in London, called Motobooks & Modelbooks, that I’m sure many of you know! 😎

I'm more into jazz than classical so I'll give that a miss, but the ocean liner book is nice. I might even see if I can find it here somewhere to see if I like it. Plenty of books about ships and planes here at the local thrifts.

Plenty of books about ships and planes here at the local thrifts. Give it a try, it’s a delightful book! And, about jazz, I’m not much of a jazz fan, except for a beloved classic Dave Brubeck album and a couple of much newer ones from Keith Jarrett and his friends!

The last book that I got before leaving to work for Ford, in early 1986… 22A gift from my parents, this book is about the SS Norway and its conversion from being the magnificent SS France.
