Of course, mate! Our friendship is perfectly safe! And, I’m not much of a Marvel movie fan either. That’s for kids! I'm a kid then and proud of it - love Star Wars and Marvel movies - escapism from a mad world Excellent!

Back from Germany… 31I have a slight interest in Astrology and this is kind of an enjoyable book. Bought at Sanborn’s, a popular Mexican restaurant/coffee shop, that has a store that used to offer lots of international magazines and a good selection of books! These two were bought in San Antonio (Texas) in the Summer of 1987: 32This author has lots of books on this subject and they’re all excellent! 33One more book from Mr. Miller! It would be hard to recommend just one! 34One more book bought at Sanborn’s. An excellent book, filled with tips and very useful examples of traditional sketching and rendering techniques, great for industrial designers!

These two are from 1988, one from January and the other from December… 35An nice book dedicated to the Titanic and its siblings, the Olympic and the Britannic, with lots of photos and interesting facts! By the way, the ship in its cover is actually the Olympic, not the Titanic! 36A useful and informative music dictionary. 😎

The fun continues here, even If I am not particularly familiar with the subjects. Love details like your mention of 'Sanborns'. Never heard of the place but just spent the last 10 minutes looking at photos of the foods & bookshop online at TripAdvisor etc. This internet-thingy almost negate my need to actually travel More money for cars & the other 'needs'!

Excellent point Tom! Even though I try to keep my 53 year old body in decent shape, nothing gets easier as we age, even the 'fun' things like travelling!

I’m really glad to know that you’re enjoying this thread, my friend! Sanborn’s used to be extremely popular. It was nice dining there and then going for a look at their huge variety of magazines to browse them and maybe buy some. Also less exhausting. LOL Also less exhausting.

Imagine things with a 60 year old body! 😬

This was the only non-automotive book that I bought in 1989: 37A useful, fun book with lots of information and tips! Bought because at that time I was considering getting my first cat. And, I did! The following two were bought in Mexico City, during the Spring break of 1990: 38One of these two would have been enough, especially since they are so similar! I suspect that I just couldn’t make up my mind so, I bought both! 39This one’s slightly better than the previously shown one.

Glad to see someone else with a cat book! I have a massive 'encyclopedia' of the cat as well, bought back in 2005. You could read it from cover to cover and probably still never understand the cat >^^< I absolutely love these little creatures and could not imagine life without them

I like the art déco books. I have a few too, will see if I can dig them out. These two are the only ones I have but, I wouldn’t mind adding a couple more on more specific subjects, like furniture or architecture. Glad to see someone else with a cat book! I have a massive 'encyclopedia' of the cat as well, bought back in 2005. You could read it from cover to cover and probably still never understand the cat >^^< I absolutely love these little creatures and could not imagine life without them I ended up having three cats during the late 80s and early 90s. And, I’ve considering getting one again but, I’m not sure yet! They’re indeed great little creatures!
